Being located in Port Ellen gives you a fantastic starting point for most sightseeing to be done on Islay, whether by car, foot, bus or bike there is plenty to do and see. Just minutes to Ferry terminal, shops, restaurants, pubs and bus stops. The 'three distillery path' starts opposite 20 mtrs away, a nice walk not just for distilleries, also for wildlife, views and the Islay fresh air.

Stunning location by miles (and miles!) of beach. A beautiful one-bedroomed cottage, converted from original farm buildings, a short distance from seven miles of golden sand. Muran is pronounced mooran, and means marram grass in Gaelic. The cottage's views are to the beach to the west . The garden is perfect for outside dining and, for cosier evenings, there is a wood-burning stove in the lounge. Wifi is provided. Electricity is included. Beautiful property inside and out with the most stunning views of Royal Portrush Golf Course and only a stones through away from whiterocks beach. This home really need to be seen to be appreciated in its full entirety. Enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and watch the sun set over the Whiterocks, take romantic walks along the beach or head into Portrush (1 mile away) for a night to remember. Once you stay one or two nights you will want to come back again.
