2 Bed Cottage Sleeps 2 - Parking, Pet Friendly

Situated in the picturesque loch side village of Kilmun, this 2 bedroom pretty dairy farm conversion is set back (25m) from the main road. The cottage has 2 floors and is the end terrace of 3 properties. About the property: With a backdrop of forest and overlooking a pretty courtyard, the cottage is well equipped and provides a comfortable retreat for visitors to the area. On the ground floor is a spacious open plan living room and kitchen with breakfast bar. The living room boasts ample seating with one of the 2 sofas being a comfy sofa bed if required. There is also a TV (with Freeview channels). An electric stove heater provides a cosy feel. The property is heated by modern storage heaters. The kitchen area has an electric oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and washing machine. Tea towels are provided as are washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, sponges and binbags. There is a large bathroom on the ground floor with bath, electric shower over, toilet, sink and electric towel rail. Towels are provided. On the first floor is the master bedroom with king size bed and ample storage space. A second smaller room is situated next to the master bedroom on the first floor with a single day bed provided if required for sleeping. Both rooms on the first floor are light and airy and benefit from Velux windows in the ceilings for additional light. All bed linen is provided. There is no garden at the property. However the loch side is only a stone's throw away with Graham's Point (a small park area) next to the water with a shingle beach. The cottage is in an ideal spot for access to many local places of interest within Argyll and Bute and Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is well positioned for enjoying walking, cycling, forests, mountains and boat trips and also has a spacious yet cosy feel and offers a welcome retreat after a day exploring. Interaction with Guests: We understand that guests often prefer a hands-off approach when on holiday. For this reason information will be provided at the time of booking with regards to accessing keys and full details on the property will be provided within a welcome pack folder which you will find in the property. This will include contact numbers for us, if guests need any support. If guests would prefer to be met at the property this can of course be arranged. About the Area: Kilmun is a small village that provides easy access to both the Argyll Forest and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Popular for walking, cycling and exploring all that the area has to offer, Kilmun is an ideal location. The town of Dunoon is only a 15 minute drive away or half an hour on the bus and provides shopping facilities, cinema and access to numerous bars and restaurants. Close by are historic Kilmun Church, Benmore Botanical Gardens and Pucks Glen. Getting Around: Argyll is very popular with cycling enthusiasts but if you re looking to travel further afield it s best to bring your car or motorcycle. A regular bus service operates from right outside the property giving guests easy access to both Dunoon and Toward in one direction and the picturesque village Ardentinny in the other. Bus links via Dunoon will take you further into Argyll. If a city experience is what you are looking for, Dunoon provides easy access via ferry to Gourock Train Station where you can pick up a train that will take you directly into the centre of Glasgow. By car: Strachur on Loch Fyne is 20 mins away, Cairndow (incl. Ardkinglas woodland walk and the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar/Treeshop Garden Centre) 35mins Inveraray (for the infamous jail and castle) 45 mins Arrochar (with access to the Cobbler and other walks) 45 mins Fully compliant with Scottish Government's Short Term Licence Licencing regulations. Jura is a Lovely family house , with 4 large bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a huge games room / lounge in the basement which leads onto the wonderful patio area,garden and amazing HOT TUB The house was built 8 years ago .The land it’s built on was originally an orchard. When the American navy had the submarine base in the Holy loch from the 60s to 1992 the land was converted to a car park , it was always full of American cars which the sailors and their families had shipped over from the states.
