Norma was the most responsive host I’ve ever encountered. Her replies were prompt and she provided outstanding recommendations for local restaurants and entertainment. She checked in with us frequently. Her rental is adorably nautical, clean and well-maintained. I loved her style! She made sure we had everything we needed.

New Tinyhouse RV, Kayak, Beach, Fish, Marina, Pool

AgnesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was perfect. Loved that it was half way to Key West. That allowed us to explore the whole Keys. Lots of stores, restaurants and places to visit along the way. The property was super nice. Super easy to find. The campground was very clean and peaceful, super safe, even after dark. The RV was everything I could ask for- whole kitchen and bathroom, 2 sleeping areas and an extra sitting room that can add extra sleep options. The inside was super clean and stocked up with the basic essentials. I loved that I didn’t need to go to the store to just get a pinch of salt or one bag of tea. The extras- kayaks, bikes added to the great experience. And of course- big grocery store within few min walking distance is a key point. In other words- you will not be disappointed, it is a great place to stay in and definitely worth the price.

NEW luxury RV, Marina, 6 beds&1.5 baths, 2 pools!

YarelisRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The RV was just as described. The furniture looks new and clean. Beds are comfortable and although we did not cook, the kitchen looked fully stocked. Overall the place is very good value. The only issue we had is that the campground did not allow us to get in before checking time to use the ramp and the pool. Nothing to do with the host but still it was an inconvenience for us.

House boat unique experience!

EduardoRating, 5 stars6 days ago
If you love the water, this place is a must. Secluded, peaceful, stunning sunsets and lots of fish. We saw manatees pass by the house twice. The electric dinghy was great to boat around the area, but you can’t get too far with it or else the battery will run out. Just getting to the place on the dinghy was an adventure by itself. Expect mosquitoes at dusk, it’s Florida. So bring some mosquito repellent and maybe an electric swather. Everything works on the boat. Shower was hot, AC was cold. It rained a lot on the last day, so we had to time our exit just right in order not to get soaked. But even the rain felt great to cool off, and the sounds it made on the water made for some excellent daytime naps. We Loved it!

We had a great stay at Loretta’s place. The location offered a good jumping off point to explore the keys. The beach nearby along with canal access and kayaks was a huge plus. The garden area was nice though the mosquitos were intense. The place accommodated our group of 7 ppl well and everything was clean and well furnished. Overall, the place worked great for our group and we’d stay again!

Casa Solaris | Key Largo home with Private Pool!

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My family had a wedding in Key Largo and wanted a nice space to hold 6 people with a private pool. This place matched our needs perfectly! It's incredibly spacious, has amazing amenities and of course had the most beautiful pool and spa. I loved how there was a separate downstairs area with a kitchenette so my husband and I could have extra space as well. It was also close distance to restaurants and grocery stores. Sean always answered quickly and offered help if we ever needed it. It was the perfect house for our little getaway.

We really enjoyed this home in Marathon. Sitting by the canal for morning coffee, swimming in the pool on a hot afternoon, having dinner on the covered porch, or plying corn hole on the roof… it was all super enjoyable. Andy even dropped off some wonderful bagels one morning! The location is super close to all that Marathon has to offer. We would recommend this home to anyone

Your guide to Key Largo

All about Key Largo

A sliver dangling off the tip of Florida, the northernmost and longest of the state’s keys is all about the sea. Some folks call Key Largo the Diving Capital of the World thanks to its expansive underwater state park and plentiful coral reefs. Snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, beach bumming, and glass-bottom boating are all on offer.

Key Largo’s main drag is lined with strip malls, while veering down little-explored lanes can reward visitors with elegant plantation houses, hardwood hammocks, and tranquil marinas. After exploring the scene by day, hit up a bayside or oceanfront restaurant for happy hour and you might just be rewarded with a magical sunset.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Key Largo

Key Largo's weather is warm and sunny between November and March, and this tends to come in step with a large number of visitors and matching high season prices for vacation rentals. Despite the risk of summer rain, June through August are also great months to visit for snorkeling and diving, though do keep in mind that hurricanes become increasingly likely in late summer and into early fall.

Regardless of when you visit, be sure to pack a sunhat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a trusty pair of flipflops.

Top things to do in Key Largo

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

No Florida Keys vacation is complete without a snorkel in this mostly underwater park, where glassbottom boat tours of a thriving reef — including large schools of fish and the occasional barracuda or turtle — are great for families. You can also scuba dive or snorkel down to Christ of the Abyss, a 4,000-pound bronze Jesus statue, or explore the park’s 170 acres of land featuring tranquil beaches, nature trails, and boardwalks.

Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park

One of the nation’s largest swaths of West Indian tropical hardwood hammock, this park’s six miles of trails — most of which are accessible to wheelchairs and bicycles — feature rare plants like wild cotton and mahogany mistletoe, and protected animals including (shudder) American crocodiles.

Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park comprises 1.5 million acres of subtropical wilderness to explore. The park has three separate entrances — from Key Largo the closest destination is the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center (a 30-40 minute drive). Once there, the popular Anhinga Trail offers possible sightings of alligators, turtles, and egrets, among rare and endangered species.
