The Chalet is located approx. 4.5hrs from NYC by car and is the perfect place to: escape the city, rekindle a romance, ski/ride Whiteface Mountain, hike, fish and so much more!

Enjoy all that the High Peaks region has to offer in our cozy chalet. Camp Red Fox comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids with king size and low bunk beds. The house is adjacent to former cross-county skiing trails that are used as hiking trails. You can easily make a short drive to Lake Placid & Whiteface for skiing. Keene with many hiking trails is 20 minutes away; many hiking trails are within 3-5 minutes drive (Rocky Peak, Hurricane, Baxter).

Situated directly by the Ausable River and surrounded by beautiful vineyards and gardens you will be immersed in nature at any time if the year. It's sure to restore the soul. In the winter fire up the pellet stove and get cozy. 15 minutes to Whiteface and Keene and 25 Minutes to Lake Placid.

Short drive to tons of hiking, boating, mountain biking and skiing and all that the Adirondacks has to offer.

We recently converted our pack porch to a mother-in-law studio apartment with its own private entrance from the back. Located on Bear Cub Lane in Lake Placid, its the perfect location for people who want to be close to town but in a quiet, residential setting near many trails. Hike, ski, or bike right from the backyard to Henrys Woods and John Brown trail systems. Our permit number is STR-200480
