Hikers feel at home amidst the mountaineering history reflected in the books and in the photos and paintings on the walls. The cabin is eco-friendly throughout: organic sheets and towels, wool blankets, wool rugs (except one), green soaps and cleaning products, mini-splits, energy-saving lighting.

A cozy interior space is highlighted by wooden walls and a window that overlooks the surrounding woods. A simple table is paired with a wooden chair. A cushioned bench with throw pillows offers a comfortable seating area, while a pendant light provides soft illumination.

Fountains Cabin

This basic cabin is centrally located on Rt 73 close to climbing cliffs and trailheads. With a private setting in the woods it offers a great base for your Adirondack adventures. Please note that this accommodation will be a „GLAMPING“ experience. The cabin HAS NO SHOWER and a limited supply of 5 gallons of water. It is not impervious to the outdoors. Although the cabin is regularly cleaned thoroughly there will be the occasional bug or spider crawling along minding its own business.

Silver Bear Cabin, 15 minutes from Whiteface!

This cabin is in the heart of the high peaks, 15 minutes from Whiteface, and 15 minutes from Lake Placid. It is nestled on a hill right off the main road, overlooking the village of Keene! It is within walking distance from all of the shops in town. Although the driveway is plowed, it is steep, so in the winter you will need four wheel drive. The cabin is off Rt 73, but it is tucked away and very private! You don’t see any neighbors!
