Islander studio #240 - breathtaking ocean views!

AshleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Veronica’s condo was exactly what we needed to enjoy our Honeymoon in Kauai! The location was our favorite aspect, you could get to each side of the island within an hour and we did so many activities that the location was perfect. The condo itself is exactly as described and the pool and grounds are beautiful. The sunrises from the beach right out front are gorgeous and we really enjoyed all the chickens running around. We would absolutely stay with Veronica again in Kauai.

North Country Farms cottage

AliceRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We absolutely adored our stay at Lee's stunning cottage. It was a little slice of paradise, and every day we fell asleep and woke up to the sweet sound of birds singing around us. It was also the perfect home base to launch out from and explore various parts of the island. Lee was also extremely kind and shared some delicious greens from their farm with us. We're so grateful and are already scheming on when we can come back here!

Prime 1BR Oceanfront | Balcony |

EricRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had the most fantastic stay! The views from this condominium are just amazing. From the balcony, we would see turtles, whales, and surfers daily. The beach next to the complex has excellent snorkeling. We swam with turtles and saw so many cool fish and sea life. The unit is very comfortable and well stocked. It matched the pictures and description perfectly. Check-in and out was easy, with very clear instructions. If you are staying on the island's south side, we highly recommend this rental. We will stay here again on future visits.

Ocean View! Golf Course Townhouse! Walk to Beach!

GinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Three of us had a wonderful 3 night stay at Alex's place and I'm so grateful as it was the perfect way for us to begin our Kauai visit celebrating our son's high school graduation. The condo was very clean, the beds comfortable, linens were so nice and the spacious kitchen had everything needed! There were lots of thoughtful touches like an informative binder waiting for us, plenty of beach supplies and several portable fans throughout the condo to keep us cool. We enjoyed our mornings on the lanai at sunrise and found the neighbors and grounds to be very peaceful and quiet. We'll definitely stay again and recommend Alex's place to others. One tip if you plan to grocery shop is to sign up online for the free membership at Foodland to receive significant savings.

The view!! We watched turtles from the lanai, and beautiful sunrises. And the surroundings were dark enough to see a gorgeous night sky when it was clear. The condo was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfortable, as was the living room furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Easy walk to several beaches, short drive to several others. Walked over to the Beach House for happy hour. Close to restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our stay!

Cottage in the Crater

What a place! This home truly has everything you need—and then some. Every appliance and piece of furniture is high-end, and the entire space is spotless. The attention to detail throughout the house really stood out to me. As a tea lover, I especially appreciated the instant hot water faucet—such a small touch, but it made things so much easier. Communication was fast and seamless. Honestly, this may have been my favorite rental yet. Highly recommend!

Your guide to Kauai

All About Kauai

Kauai’s reputation as the most tropical of all the Hawaiian Islands is well deserved. The verdant isle, which erupted into existence over 5 million years ago, is 552 square miles of emerald jungles, jagged volcanic spires, lush waterfalls, aquamarine pools, and some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. If you’re the active type, there’s so much to do on Kauai — hiking, snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, horseback riding, and much more. The island is also a mellower and less crowded experience when compared to either Oahu or Maui, and it’s not uncommon to find a stretch of beach or hiking trail to call your own.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Kauai

Vacationers will be pleased to know temperatures are pleasantly warm in Kauai year- round, peaking around August with an average of 85 degrees Fahrenheit. However, reflective of the island’s lush greenery, it also drizzles and rains year-round. The dry season spans from April through October, with wetter storms arriving more regularly between November and March. But rain is often intermittent, allowing interludes of sunshine to peek through most days.

Despite its Garden Island moniker, Kauai hosts numerous microclimates to prepare for if you explore beyond the beaches. These microclimates span from shirt-soaking humidity in the tropical rainforests to arid heat on the southwestern side, where cactus can be common. It’s always a good idea to pack a light windbreaker, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen when visiting Kauai.

Top things to do in Kauai

Na Pali Coast Trail

Even if you don’t consider yourself much of a hiker, the first 2 miles of the 11-mile out-and-back Kalalau Trail deserve the effort. The views along this steep oceanside trail are spectacular, with a picturesque pocket beach and the hidden valley of Hanakāpī‘ai awaiting.

Waimea Canyon State Park

Imagine the Grand Canyon overtaken by a tropical jungle and you get a rudimentary sense of the awe-inspiring vistas visitors experience while surveying this majestic, red-tinged canyon.

Mount Waiʻaleʻale

Anyone approaching the sheer emerald walls of Mount Waiʻaleʻale, which reach upward 5,148 feet, shouldn’t expect to stay dry. Reputedly the wettest place on Earth and the originating source of all seven of Kauai’s rivers, Mount Waiʻaleʻale requires a special guide (or helicopter ride) to explore, but is a uniquely Kauai experience.
