The Host and his wife are very welcoming! We were shown around the room, bathroom and kitchen as soon as we checked in. The yard of the house is also very beautiful. The room is large and comfortable. We are provided with clean towels and mineral water every day. The Host's wife also helped us wash our clothes. She is very warm and greets us🥹 every time we return home. I am very touched to be able to stay in such a good house!

Guesthouse Yamabuki Private Room

MathiasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Arriving in the small town I had a walk through cute narrow alleys surrounded by beautiful old building to the Nithins and Ries guesthouse. So even if it's a bit off a walk I enjoyed the walk through the quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Upon arriving, Nithin welcomed me in the small front yard and showed me around, introducing me to their house. The place is very new, very tidy and well organized. the the room I was in is very bright, with flawless interior - including feet- and eye-flattering tatami - and a comfortable futon-style bed. The kitchen and bathroom are fun, all in all I felt very comfortable living in and using the guesthouse. On the first day Nithin and Rie invited me for a little get-to-know-each-other over having tea - they even prepared a little menu - and perfectly delicious self-made cake. During this and every other brief meeting I felt welcomed and being cared after. So here you have a decent home in a peaceful area with nice hosts. Warm recommendations.

Cozy SHUNTOKU Room (Japanese Style )/Namba 16 mins

My Japan journey has come to an end. Hirotoshi-San, it was a great pleasure meeting you and your family. Again, I realize that none of the attractions and sights can replace talk and discussion with local people. We didn't spend much time together, but you managed to make us feel like home. I'm greatly thankful for that. Don't hesitate; we used to think about you a lot in a 3 by 3 room in Kyoto. 😁 I wish you guys the very best; you deserve it. To people that read my review, don't think twice. Very quiet neighborhood, close to subway station. A lot of conbinies and restaurants around. And yes, at least 3 7/11 in 5 minutes from home. You can eat famichiki with curry bread and never leave your block. Also 40 minutes to Nara, just be carefull no to be confused JR subway with metro. ありがとうございます!

Traditional tatami Japanese style

YuechenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Host and the room are very nice, and the yard is beautiful.I'm so happy to experience a traditional Japanese room. The check-in information is like handwritten, very thoughtful, and there is a name tag at the door.I tasted the fruit tea made by the hostess☺️ and she proactively asked if she needed to send me to the station the next day.The house is under another smaller entrance downhill from Koizumi Shrine, and the surroundings are quiet. It was raining on the way there. At first, I walked to the main entrance of the shrine (actually, I could just walk through the shrine), but I met a very kind grandfather who searched the map and sent me to the door. I was really lucky.I came across a good restaurant nearby.

Onosanchi Immigration Experience House

A true hidden gem—I ended up extending my stay because I loved it so much. The structure is beautifully designed with modern utilities, and everything is spotless and clearly well maintained. The space is very private and peaceful, making it perfect for a quiet retreat. Shota was an exceptional host—friendly, highly responsive, and always proactive in providing helpful instructions.

2 min from station, best for WFH + Hollywood twin

I had such a wonderful time at this beautiful , clean, architecturally sophisticated modern home. I experienced a generous young couple , smart and intelligent businesslady Maya and her wonderful partner Hide made me feel like being at a home away from home. The quiet location is well connected , 5 minutes from the station and perfect to explore Nara and Kyoto being only 40 minutes away .The house has all the amenities you could dream of , a very nice touch is the free organic tea , mineral water and a luxury bonus is the filtered shower keeping you clean and fresh , super valueable in a hot japanese summer .Being worldtravelers themselves representing the best of a young japanese generation who is openminded it was great fun and fascinating to talk and on many occasions i was impressed with their knowledge and insights of traditional and modern Japan .Thankyou so much for your wonderful hospitality you are the ( secret ) Airbnb superstars one can only dream of . Love you guys !

The boss is super nice, he took the initiative to help us move our luggage, and even lent us a flashlight and a stick when we went to climb Mount Daji at night. It is very convenient to visit the famous places. When you come out, you will see Kuya Shibashi (Uji Bridge). There is also Kumiko chair along the Uji River.

Guest House UME, a relaxing inn in Takachi, where you can enjoy history and hiking (Western-style room ②)

SophiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We highly recommend staying here! Sakie-san is an incredibly kind and friendly lady who went above and beyond to help us enjoy our trip, even taking us on a beautiful hike to see the wonderful places in Takatori, and hosting a sushi dinner with us. Sakie-san’s house is very pretty and her housekeeping is great! Sakie-san was the most amazing and compassionate host and we made good friends with her and the other guests whom we were fortunate to stay with, and played many fun card games. You will have a wonderous time if you stay here :)
