Hideaway in Kapiti

DeborahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Blackwood Luxury Hideaway was a perfect location for our group of 4 to stay for three nights whilst we attended a wedding in the area. Janine was super helpful in answering our pre-arrival questions and having the rooms set up to meet our sleeping requirements. The home was beautifully presented, and a lot of thought has gone into the decor / linen / kitchen utensils. The indoor spaces meant we had room to spread out and the day bed became a favorite spot for reading in the sun. The separate areas for outdoor seating where all well used to take in the stunning rural views. And the outdoor spa was a hit and had towels provided for it. The 1.5 bathrooms were very useful when your travel with 4 adults! They were lush with rain shower and beautiful amenities / towels. We would certainly stay again when we come back to visit the area. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Beach Holiday with Superb Ocean and Island Views

HamishRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We spent Xmas and new year here. The house has a great outlook over Kapiti Island and there is a comfortable homey lounge with a nice indoor/outdoor flow. The Pohutakawa’s next door were in bloom. We had the grandkids over and they loved the spa pool. There is a mezzanine off one of the bedrooms with an awesome amount of Lego. So, heaven for kids to go up there and have a bit of a play. Huge selection of board games etc and Texas Holdem poker was a hit with our crew. The oven takes a bit of a fiddle and a couple of go’s to get the hang of it. The driveway can be a challenge. We were mainly here to catch up with family, but enjoyed some of the local sights , including the car museum and the Barry Hadfield Nikau forest. Carolin is responsive and overall a great time was had by all.

Rangiuru Stream by Tiny Away

We stayed for one night. Even so, the accommodation met all our expectations. I appreciated the detailed instructions provided, which allowed us to resolve a problem with the hot water on our own. I can recommend this place.

Rural paradise, equine dream

ClareRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Great set up for family group with a mix of old, middle and young generations - chilled relaxed, spacious house environment and plenty of outdoor area with activities for noisy playtime enjoying the nature-based setting. The extra little bonuses were also much appreciated - bringing our pets, te reo Māori ❤️🖤 throughout house, fresh eggs from chicken, gardens to harvest from, trampoline (hours spent using that!), spa, pantry with little bits needed for cooking, outdoor BBQ next to opening kitchen window. We thought having only one bathroom with the toilet inside it might be a problem but we seemed to work around it ok. We would definitely return and tell others about it. 😊

Te Horo - Large 4bdrm House close to beach

MariahRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Peter’s place was right in Te Horo Beach, walking distance to the beach and the Bus Stop Cafe with an easy drive to the shops. The house itself was a good size with great shared living spaces & kitchen for a group. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

The Blue Beachfront Retreat

SallyRating, 5 stars17 months ago
Thank you, what a lovely and special family home, it made for a magical and relaxing xmas break. Beautiful deco home with bohemian vibes. A spacious garden area to play led to an ethereal private pathway to the beach which was dotted with wild flowers. Original deco elements retained in the bathrooms. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds with views. Would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

The Lodge- golf/cycling/fishing

CarlaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Absolutely perfect for our family while we competed in the Nth Island Streetstock Champs!! Quirky but very cool little spot with great parking for our race trailers! Google maps unfortunately took us down a private driveway which thankfully had a turn bay to be able to exit with our large trailers (apologies to those people as it was 10pm!) FYI take the driveway directly before the speedway track entrance not where Google maps takes you. The communication was a little slow and the property listing a little vague but we got there in the end and it was perfect. From the Castleton Racing Team, Thank You so much Angela for having us and we would love to come back one day!!

Such lovely hosts , friendly, thoughtful, and really went the extra mile. They checked in with us when the weather turned and brought extra firewood to keep us cosy, plus a surprise some home-baked cookies which absolutely made our day. Felt really well looked after, would definitely stay again!

Putara Base Camp

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Putara Base Camp is a fantastic place to stay with a group of friends to escape the city to the countryside. The accommodation is rustic but comfortable and has everything you need, including a great supply of firewood. The space was tidy, and the bathrooms were clean. Michelle communicated the check-in instructions clearly. The countryside surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. Overall, it was an awesome stay. Definitely recommended!

Idyllic setting, beautiful interior, friendly and helpful hosts: this was a perfect getaway. Natalia and Marc went above and beyond—not only with their warm hospitality, but also with their recommendations for things to do nearby. I only wished we had stayed longer!
