Chie was an outstanding host. Her attention to detail and providing much more than your average Airbnb was impressive. Upon arrival, we made the mistake of having no water in the humid heat, but she provided us with water bottles; which saved us until we had the ability to go to the nearby grocery store. She also left personal touches, such as a heartfelt note and little gifts. It made us feel like we were personally welcomed by someone who genuinely cared for us. I would never hesitate to stay in her home, time and time again. She also kindly dropped us off at the local station as we headed out to our next destination. Thank you so much Chie. For going above and beyond! It is much appreciated 🫶🏼

A dining room where you can gather like several rooms... The kitchen facilities, etc. were all perfect... The only thing that was a little disappointing was that there was only one shower area, so it was inconvenient for several people to use, but it was so nice.

Everything is there and clearly displayed. They prepared what I wanted, such as a sukiyaki pan and a hot plate. There was bottled water, sweets, drink sticks, and even seasonings. Everything was very beautiful. We had a safe stay. Thank you very much.

Chisako was extremely welcoming and helpful to me during my stay-- she was able to drop me off at various destinations, which helped immensely during my stay. We were also able to make and eat breakfast together. I enjoyed talking to both Chisako and Kouji, and would definitely stay again. The most friendly and welcoming hosts ever!!

Experience "encountering trees" in a cottage like a hideaway surrounded by 360-degree nature

It was a quiet place with a private space in nature.Located in the middle of a small mountain, you can enjoy a nice view, and the night view of the city of Ena was beautiful at night.I miraculously saw the sea of clouds in the morning. The interior was solid wood and warm, and the living space and bedroom space were nice.Of course, the interior of the building was clean and air-conditioned, and it was comfortable.

Satoyama Outdoor Field/Kominka Cottage Torose

I stayed at the house with my two other female friends. The location is a little bit remote so it can get a little dark. But, all of us felt very safe at the house. We got to experience an authentic japanese house too! The surrounding was peaceful and beautiful. There was a waterfall nearby so you can walk and just hang out there. The house is even better than the pictures. And everything in it was complete. Clean, comfy and just felt right at home. Sato is also very responsive, friendly and thoughtful. We’re glad for her to have let us stay at her place. All and all, I would totally recommend staying here.
