This area is called Shimawara, one of the six former flower districts, and is the oldest of them, so you can see old traditional Japanese-style architecture within walking distance. The house is a 100-year-old townhouse located inside the Chomyo temple, 5mins' walk from subway Sanjo sta. & Kamo river. Also convenient to walk to Gion town and Heian Shrine. Being in a living area, the house has quiet neighborhood, many convenient supermarket and amazing restaurants nearby.
