Cabin vacation rentals in Julian

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

Loves our stay at Pinky's! The trails on the grounds were beautiful and it was such a relaxing stay! The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs, the dogs loved being able to run around in the gated yard! The on site host had wonderful recommendations on things to do in the area and was very nice and responsive! We look forward to being able to visit again!

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.

We had a lovely weekend stay! Rowena is a fantastic host. She was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She made our arrival smooth and our experience even more special by answering all our questions promptly, especially when we weren’t able to reach RedAwning directly. Her thoughtful touches, like leaving wine for us, really made a difference! The cabin itself is charming and full of personality. We enjoyed nights around the fire pit under the stars and peaceful mornings birdwatching from the porch. The neighborhood cat even hung out with us! Inside, we loved the quirky features, from the stone basement to the attic bedroom, and we had fun with the board games and projector setup. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs are uneven inside and outside the cabin, which could be tricky for guests who prefer more stable footing. Thanks again for a comfortable, memorable stay!

My family and I had such a wonderful time staying here during memorable day weekend. There was something for all of us to do. We fished at lake every day, a big plus for my husband as it was just a few short minutes away from the front door, to the quality time we had inside the house playing pool, to the top tier coffee machine that allowed me cozy mornings on the patio listening to the birds with my husband, to the smores we made outside at the fire pit while gazing at the stars. The house is so beautiful and inviting, curated with such an eye for detail and warmth. We truly cannot thank you enough for sharing your home with us and we cannot wait to visit again soon one day.

It was a cute, quaint little getaway spot. Loved feeding the goats, chickens and alpacas. Our little maltipoo loved to just walk around the place and run up and down the little pathway. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful one night stay at John's! Instructions were crystal clear on everything from how to enter, contact info, our part of the house, the jacuzzi, the check out and more. The neighborhood is beautiful, walkable, and so quiet. There are homes next door but the lot is big enough that it still felt private. The house itself and the decor feels like a bit of a time capsule -- which to us means cozy, comfy and kitschy fun-- but if you prefer monochrome colors and barren horizontal surfaces you may not love it like we did. There were only two of us so we used the back bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was super clean and John even gave us extra towels! No complaints, just a slight issue with the jacuzzi but it was still usable and John was immediately responsive when we communicated. One tip -- BYO oil and whatever else you need to cook with. Hot drinks are provided. We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return. Thank you John and family!!!

Had a beautiful (exactly as described and pictured) stay at the Cowboy Cabin! Christina was such a communicative, friendly, and gracious host. The house itself was stocked with everything one could need and the house itself was rustic, cowboy chic in every way without it being too much or overbearing. It's so cozy and the home itself and the surroundings were picturesque. It feels like the retreat/hideaway of your wildest dreams, yet within a short drive to neighboring towns. I will definitely be back and am so happy that we were able to experience such a lovely weekend at this unique and rare gem.

A lovely experience. Well-located near Julian, Cuyamaca, Anza-Borrego. Beautiful architecture up on a hill above the 79. Easily the best-stocked Airbnb we have ever rented: pots, pans, dishware, spices, soaps, firewood, lots of towels, etc. Detailed directions. Everything worked! Would return for sure. One thing to know: the upstairs bedroom with the many beds is an open loft, so you hear everything from downstairs, and noise passes easily between the two downstairs bedrooms. Lovely spaces, but limited privacy.

We had a great memorial weekend get away in this place . The house was comfortable, clean, well organized and has provisions of basic amenities. Our favorite is the magnificent view and just the cozy and chill vibe of the place overall. We had an amazing time .

This was our second time at Twin Oaks, bringing our kids along this time, and it was another amazing visit. From the parking right by the kitchen door it’s easy to unload our van and settle in for 3 nights. Two slept soundly in the loft area and the other was on a bed in the sun room. We enjoyed the firm king bed and slept well to! There are no blinds in living room so the view was spectacular though it did mean the kids woke up early. The house was clean and comfortable and easily cooked every meal in the well equipped kitchen. Sandrine is a great host, we have really enjoyed staying with her!

My friends and I spent the weekend in Julian here, and it was perfect! We loved the game room and the home had a lot of character.

This place was perfect in every way. Staying on the vineyard was luxurious and relaxing. When you turn off the main highway, you know you entering somewhere special. Everyone in the area is involved in agriculture. There is a diverse variety of mostly small farms. The tiny house was really fun and private. It has everything you need on a small scale, yet it feels very comfortable. The highlight was definitely the giant windows by the bed. You open the windows in the morning and you are about 10 feet from grape vines. At night and in the morning, you can hear the birds on the farm. It is very quiet with the windows closed, but we kept them open because I like the animal sounds. At night, the grounds are teaming with the sounds of life. This isn’t the four seasons, and it doesn’t try to be. I have never stayed somewhere like this before, but I loved every aspect of it. I will stay here again and it was a good price. I know it is a little different, but give it a shot, it is amazing

We stayed in Ephraim’s adorable A-frame cabin for one night while headed to San Diego to visit a friend. The drive up to the cabin is beautiful on a long, winding road. When we left the next day, we were above the cloud line. The cabin itself is wonderful. We couldn’t help but walk around and appreciate all of the little design choices inside! The bedrooms are cozy and nest-like. The kitchen is spacious and open. The lot is pretty private. There are some other cabins close by, but you don’t notice them once you’re inside.

Our stay at Stoneapple was incredible. Mary is such a thoughtful and welcoming host, and her place is even more beautiful than the photos. The property itself is gorgeous, and the house is filled with books and little details that made it feel special. There was so much to do and enjoy that we didn’t even notice there wasn’t a TV until we were packing up. We didn’t miss it at all. It was easy to just be present and enjoy the simplicity and calm of the space. We watched sunsets, explored the local town, lounged on the porch and in the hammock, read, and ate well. It was exactly what we needed, and we’d love to come back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for peace and a place to truly unwind.

This place is so cool. It felt like very remote but still accessible. We loved the decor and grounds. The place is stocked with everything you need. The host was very responsive. We had some trouble with the pool and not clearly understanding the directions or limitations with regard to heating but we were able to work with the host to get things figured out. Overall great stay, especially for large groups and kids. We would return and highly recommend.

Jill was a great host and very responsive. The kitchen had all the dishes we needed to prepare a Christmas Day meal. The beds were comfortable. The town ofJulian was very nice with bakeries and of course the well known bake pies. The restaurant, Jeremy’s on the Hill, were very accommodating and we could sit on the patio, that had heaters, with our small dogs.

An unforgettable stay — highly recommend! We had such a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and felt cozy yet spacious. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding and well-stocked kitchen to the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and made us feel completely at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

Our family of four loved staying here. The campground has a nice layout. The home has everything you need. They put a lot of thought and love to the home. The beds were great and we were very comfortable in every room. The kids loved it. The host was very responsive. We'd love to be back. Thank you for hosting us.

My SILs and I have an annual tradition of meeting up once a year from both sides of the country for a kid-free momcation and Stacy’s place did NOT disappoint. The location is incredibly private, peaceful, restorative and cozy. The house was well stocked, clean, and almost felt like we were staying in a treehouse in Bali. Stacy was a hospitable, welcoming, responsive host and we would return here for another stay in a heartbeat.
