A house you can experience authentic Japanese life

FlorenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Yuto is such a warm host! The house has everything and is spotless. It is spacious and comfortable inside and has a charming garden. We borrowed Yuto's bicycles to go around the neighborhood. We rode along the river and the fields, and visited a few shrines in the mountains, and I was not surprised if I met Totoro. Everywhere is so beautiful, and locals are very friendly. I got a flat tire at some point, and Yuto came to my rescue immediately, which was so nice of him. It was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it if you love nature and want something authentic away from the city.

A Totoro-Like Stay in Nature – Entire House

哲子Rating, 5 stars5 days ago
The house in a quiet location was spacious and clean, and I ate while looking at the fields and the green mountains from the window, and slept well at night.I didn't use it, but there is also a place where you can have a bonfire. At night, we could see several fireflies around the house and in the garden. There is a dishwasher and a washer and dryer, and the facilities are good. The host was also bright and kind, and I felt that he wanted us to have a comfortable time. You can't walk to restaurants or supermarkets, so if you don't go by car, you need to prepare by buying food in advance.Recommended for those who want to relax in a place surrounded by nature.

We had an amazing time in the most beautiful home, Masafumi is the best and nicest host 🙏🏻 The barbecue area was amazing and the local supermarket (about a 5 minute walk) has some of the best beef you’ll ever try! We will definitely come back again one day

The desk on the wooden deck is large, access to the kitchen, and the garden is immediately accessible, making it great for children.

Benton Guesthouse: Nostalgic Shōwa-era (ex-Akiya)

LoriRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This home is a dream. Because of work commitments and an unfortunate change of plans, I communicated more with Dani than with other hosts. She answered all my questions quickly. Our biggest regret was having to change our reservation from 2 to 1 night stay. The home is fantastic - you see the love and care that Dani and Evan have put into their home. We really appreciated all the instructions about picking up snacks/food before we rode past them. Also, buy some honey. It's from their hives. And walk around the neighborhood and towards the water- incredible scenery and so peaceful.

Naoshima Juju Kiseki House

PatriciaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This beautiful, tranquil home is at the end of a quiet street but very close to the port and lots of good restaurants. The home is very charming with lovely art and a very authentic Japanese vibe. Be aware that while the ceilings are tall, the thresholds between rooms are approximately 5’8”. There are 2 separate bathroom spaces; one has a lovely shower room and sink and the other has a toilet and sink. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a 7-11 very close by and a co-op market also within walking distance

The best place I have ever stayed abroad. I have never seen a clean space like this and felt welcomed. Had such a comfortable time, especially breakfast offered by the host was one of the best meals had along the trip. Thank you, made a great memory i would never forget.
