As the valley became more residential the cottage has been nicely converted to a comfortable indoor/outdoor living space. Pasture and farm still abound and mix with wildlife and recreation. Olympic National Park and Forest just to the south. Strait of Juan de Fuca and Dungeness Recreation Area to the north. Pacific Ocean to the west and Hood Canal and Seattle to the east.

He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Our little place is good for couples and solo adventurers. **Please note that our friendly Golden Retriever Mason goes into the backyard.**

The Secret Garden

We are on the edge of town, but feels like miles away. This sweet cabin is peaceful and charming, surrounded with gardens, fruit trees and wildlife. Although we are within the city limits, you'll feel completely removed from the hubbub of daily life, with plenty of stores and restaurants near by. The Olympic Discovery trail runs very close by, making it easy to take a walk or bike ride. During the summer, feel free to pick a few raspberries, figs, peaches, apples, pears and even kiwis!

The Bit & Bridle Cabin bids you welcome!

The Bit & Bridle Cabin has that out-in-the-country feel, yet it is only minutes from Oak Harbor's town center. This small 17 acres farm provides Donna's horses room to play and live and Stan's Autobody & Paint Shop a place to thrive. Other buildings besides the Cabin and the owners' house are a covered riding arena, Stan Wingate's shop, a "Fowl Manor" and run, and a small family residence. Ten beautiful old apple trees are scattered around. The Cabin is next to one of the apple orchards.
