“We had a wonderful time at Steve's place in late September 2019. He was helpful, available, and friendly and lent us bikes. The surrounding natural scenery was absolutely gorgeous! The location can't be beat and is about 1/2 mile to the ocean, mansions, cliff walk, and downtown area. The area is very safe. The apartment was a bit larger than the pictures show and is attached to his home with its own private entrance. The bathroom and bedroom are large and the bed and sheets were so comfortable. There was shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in a dispenser. Coffee k-cups and cream were provided but I brought my own decaf. There is a microwave and dorm sized refrigerator and I noticed a crock pot in one of the cabinets so if you wanted to cook I guess you could. We ate at Benjamin's in the downtown area and it was superb-fresh and nicely presented. I had a garden salad with grilled chicken and my husband had the fired oyster roll. Its very popular so if the ground floor is full there is an upstairs that we didn't know about until a local asked if it was open. We toured The Breakers mansion that was over the top and walked through the ocean front Salve Regina University. We visited Fort Adams were we boarded the Newport Harbor hop on-hop off ferry that made several stops in the harbor or you could just ride it all the way around. But we had to stop for hand dipped Ben and Jerry's ice cream!”
