The Casa Giraluna was a great place that met our needs completely. Its an artsy pirate home and as a single woman travelling with two kids and a dog its was excellent. Its durable, comfortable, safe, fairly private and had all the amenities needed aside from A/C and laundry. However, there were fans, a lot of windows and a great breeze that was very comfortable regardless. The lagoon is beautiful to bird watch and catch the golden hours. The rooftop is a cool feature too! The kids loved the unique artsy features of the place, it feels like a beachy pirate home! I arrived very sunstroked and tired from our travels and Carlos was very kind and welcoming, I appreciate the hospitality! All in all it was great and comfy. My only draw back was that the smell of the lagoon occasionally wafted in which was potent but expected. As well a few mosquitoes! If you are prepared mentally for an authentic jungle stay (bring a little bug spray) this place is awesome. 🤩

My husband and I went on our honeymoon, it was an excellent idea to leave this accommodation for our last days... It was the best, super relaxing, a lot of connection with nature, the cabin was super nice, everything was very clean and as advertised, it wasn't hot at all, the water was super fresh, the hosts were very nice and attentive, they gave us recommendations and offered us bike rentals to explore the island, which was completely worth it.

Man! I can’t even explain how amazing this this place was! The view! The area, the peaceful atmosphere and having the beach right there in the back yard was incredible! A real slice of simple and authentic paradise. I am surprised by the few negative comments read here — they do not reflect the reality of our stay at all. The cabins are charming, well designed, with air conditioning if needed and even a private pool for each home: a rare luxury in Holbox! You're right on the sand, 100 m from the beach and a short walk from the center. Yes, the shower water is not hot and the flow in the kitchen is modest... but we are talking about an eco-lodge on a tropical island where it is 40°C in the shade! If you're looking for an American-style air-conditioned hotel room at 14°C, this is simply not the right place — nor the right island. Here, you come to rest, slow down, live simply and enjoy nature. And that's exactly what Alan offers with great taste and consistency. Thank you for this beautiful parenthesis.

I fell in love with the place, very comfortable, spacious, with all the amenities to have a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The host communicated regularly, was very attentive and arranged our early check-in, which is greatly appreciated. This place was definitely our favorite for the trip to the Caribbean.
