Family-friendly vacation rentals in Inverness

We had a large family gathering that needed a special location to be right. This home fit that description perfectly. Each of our family group was able to have their own bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The living room spaces, kitchen and dining room allowed us to have a large gathering with ease. The TV and kids play area were perfect for our family of 7. The view was amazing and the location just about 10-15 mins from Inverness. The host and assistant made our visit top notch. We were lucky to find such a great spot for this family adventure. I cant recommend higher.

This little town house was perfect for a comfortable stay for the 2 of us. Located in the centre of Forres which was perfect for visiting my Daughter. the property is well equiped for all needs. We have stayed here 3 times now. The bed and bedding really comfy.

Marie was a great hostess and the house was amazing in great condition and very clean. The location is good and Marie assisted us with all the questions and had a full breakfast prepared for us.

Blair’s place was incredible. Walking through that gate and looking over the city is a magical feeling. The place was very clean and extremely cozy. Will definitely come back.

Wonderful cottage. Larger than imagined, very cozy and a wonderful setting in the large(!) garden. Jenny & David were excellent hosts: very friendly and informative. 100s of garden birds, including woodpeckers, and 4 or 5 red squirrels per day - right outside the kitchen window was mesmerising. Location was spot on. 10 min walk through the woodland to Grantown. 1 min to Spey river, 10 mins to old Spey bridge. Wider afield we travelled to Culloden, Balmoral, Aviemore - all in easy reach by car. Fantastic week was had - we will definitely be back as we only scratched the surface of what is on offer in the Cairngorms. Highly recommended!

This cottage is one of a kind. What a beautiful and authentic Scottish home and surroundings. Yvonne was very responsive when we needed her. Incredible stay!

We stayed here for two nights before our return to the states to relax from our three weeks in Scotland. Pictures do not do it justice. So close to restaurants and pubs in town and the beach. Small lovely town and everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Next time I will spend more time here!

Willie’s house is really perfect for a cosy time in very beautiful surroundings. the kitchen has everything you need in a well deigned space the woodburner is a lovely focal point in the evening. The heated bathroom floors were lovely and everything was clean and in order. i definitely hope to be back

Superb, very spacious, thoughtfully and immaculately presented basement flat of family home. Felt private. Super location for walking to local amenities /beach. Mike and Helen have thought through what helps a holiday maker and provided it in the apartment . Communication was v. prompt and helpful. All good!

Julie is an excellent host - friendly and responsive. The accommodation has everything for a short or long stay. The location with its stunning views is very convenient for those travelling by car - both for visiting Inverness and many great attractions in the area.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful and even more spacious than we expected. We absolutely loved the decor, and the beds were very comfortable. The welcome treats were a lovely touch and much appreciated. The only thing that would have made it perfect was the addition of some practical mirrors and a dressing table — the decorative mirrors were a bit too high for doing hair or makeup. Overall, it’s a lovely property in a great location. We’d happily stay again!

Caroline was a gr8 host !!Was glad to meet her .will surely recommend the place ,she was very helpful .Just a small review on hot water availability for 12 of us at the same time was a slight issue .But overall it is an excellent place !

Such a peaceful place to stay… open, warm, quiet, and welcoming. Home has so much to feel like your at your own family vacation home—good cooking facilities/tools, games for all kinds of kids, open space to be in the home, beautiful open grounds, very good linens and comfortable beds. Jenny and Seb are very welcoming, friendly, responsive, and kind hosts, genuine people who care about providing a great retreat space. Highly recommend, but only to the most kind hearted people who will enjoy such pleasures!

Lovely, peaceful location. Clean, tidy and with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable and we loved the log fire. Good location for exploring the area. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing, only problem was we should have stayed longer. Deer/child)dog proof fencing. Never ending facilities, gaming, snooker, cinema plus hot tub, sauna, jacuzzi. Huge house with plenty of space for children and adults to enjoy. BBQ and large table for evening dinner in the sunshine watching the deer. Peacock on the bear an interesting sight before it flew off. Thank you Gail, you may see us again x sure I've missed something...

Amazing service and the cabin was perfect. We were exhausted after completing the NC500 and the hot tub just made all the difference for our final day in Scotland. Kirsty was super kind and gave us clear instructions and let us know how to contact her. I would recommend any one thinking of booking the cabin to just go ahead and book you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic place for a family get together. Plenty of space and great location. Linda was great to deal with and would highly recommend staying at Balnacraig. Second time there and hopefully not the last.

Our group of 6 adults (2 couple, 2 singles) really enjoyed Alan’s place. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a wonderfully stocked kitchen which we cooked all our meals in. For us all to have our own bathrooms was a huge bonus. Lovely soft towels, toiletries provided & a top sheet on the beds!! The first place to do so so far on our 10 week road trip. It is what we are used to in Australia so felt like home. The welcome box of chocolates & milk in the fridge to make a cuppa was also appreciated by us all. Unfortunately due to the rain we weren’t able to make the most of the beautiful outdoor entertaining area, but the views were stunning. Thank you Alan for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

The wee love nest was so cosy and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is like nothing I've seen before! Just such a beautiful place to be and nice little walks in the surrounding area. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and easy to chat to! 100% will be back in the future!

I had an amazing stay!The place was stunning,extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful with breathtaking views. All the amenities were exactly as described, and everything was clean and comfortable. The small town nearby (just a 10-minute drive) was charming and convenient for anything I needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
