Immerse yourself in the experience of living like a local on this traditional highland farm, run by a Scottish family from one of the ancient highland clans. You have the entire use of the small cosy cottage with its exposed roof timbers and original stone walls. Relax, unwind and soak up the beauty in this special, peaceful cottage.
“Just back from 4 nights at the Byre with my wife and 6 month baby. A fantastic chill out week was had, and the place was perfect. Niall and his parents were great hosts and always on hand to help, without being over keen. Niall let us meet the newborn lambs and feed the sheep, and we had a supply of fresh hen and duck eggs for breakfasts in the morning. Definitely looking forward to returning at some point in the future!”

Woodside's former residents: the Mars Bar family, a whiskey distillery owner, and one lion (yes!) Two movies were filmed in Woodside!
“Had a fantastic last minute stay. We were warmly welcomed by Jill (neighbour). The apartment had everything you could possibly need and also some basic food supplies. It was a stunning location - out of the way, but exactly what we wanted. A fantastic place for relaxation. Lots of information provided for places to visit - unfortunately we couldn't utilise this due to the timing with everything closed. This didn't affect us though as the countryside was all we needed. Would definitely stay here again if we were up in this area.”
Lochside Lodge is a beautiful luxury log cabin on the shore of Loch Awe. Wood burning stove, wood burning hot tub, natural outdoor fire pit, secluded, all year round use. On the shore front with fishing rights on the Loch
“This is a very comfortable get away from it all log cabin. The setting is wonderful right on the side of wonderful Loch Awe with rolling hills backdrop. The hot tub is wonderful a true treat. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils. the owner left thoughtful extras midge spray, tips on how to stop them attacking. shelve full of books and games. it was sparkling clean and we felt at home straight away. The road to it is long and narrow (not that it bothered us) but it is well worth it.”
