The literal best!! Could not wait to write this review. If you love nature and a kind soul...this is the place for you. The spot has a lot of sitting place with the outlook of Mae Klong river. You will see a lot of biodiversity being next to mangrove area. Moreover, the owners are truly sincere, kind, helpful and inspiring. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!

Such a wonderful stay! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, the property is beautiful, like a peaceful little jungle with sweet animals everywhere! We wish would could have had more time there to enjoy everything the property has to offer. And more time with the host family would have been lovely but we were on a tight schedule. Great stay! Highly recommend!!!

The spectacular accommodation, amazing morning views, and taking a swim in the pool at night was a joy. It's been a pleasure to stay here!

The accommodation is a place of tranquility in Siam Reap. 10 minutes walk to the centre of Siam Reap which is busy & chaotic but when you’re at the accommodation you can rest and relax. There is a beautiful pool area which provides both shade and sun. Great facilities are available for all to use. Room was large and cool. Great cafe right behind accommodation and lots of other restaurants/bars within walking distance. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend a stay there.

We had a very nice stay here and enjoyed the proximity to the beach very much. We can definitely recommend the different ones! :)

With our 3 children (4, 6 and 11 months), we kept Gerard and Nui quite busy ;-). And the two of them had plenty of ideas and suggestions on how we could spend our time. We were at James Bond, the Monkey Temple, markets, the waterfall and even at Nui's school. It was great to get deeper insights into a “normal” Thai life - especially for the children. The house is simple. In the heat, we often had to stay inside and we were missing a few closets. So it was difficult to maintain order. It was a great experience and I take my hat off to Nui! She is a super-power woman who, despite everything, radiates an incredible amount of calm. A very, very pleasant personality! Thank you both for putting up with us for 5 whole 5 days. You guys are great!!

We had a wonderful time here. Check-in was easy and the staff was super lovely. Upon arrival we had the choice between two different rooms and chose the Tiny Cabin. Beautiful, small, hidden space right next to a natural stream. Everything looked and felt magical. We got a light breakfast served to our room everyday, which was a nice plus. For a small extra fee, we also got room service from the café right next to the hotel, which was also really delicious. Two of their many cats decided to join us daily. They were super adorable, everyday we were surprised about how many animals were roaming the property, so there was always something to explore. The hot spring in the jungle is a nice plus and really relaxing. 10/10

Apart from the confusion checking in it was a great place to stay. This comment is not really about Sam's House but may be useful for anyone staying AirBnB in Kanchanaburi. The message from AirBnB giving details of your stay starts with Cheked in and then the name of the place. There is unfortunately a hotel called Checked Inn. Taxi and Tut Tut drivers take one look at the message and insist they know where they are going and take you off to Checked Inn hotel. I had to get the taxi driver to ring Sam and he managed to get things sorted for me.

Very nice location to explore sapa. The room has a great view, the breakfast was good enough. Communication check in and out were all really smooth. Hope for cloudless days when you go.

The scenery here is absolutely stunning—it felt like being embraced by nature every morning. Although there was a small issue with my room, the host was very patient and thoughtful throughout. My time in this little town has been truly special. I’m deeply grateful and would definitely recommend this place!

Absolutlely stunning view! The farm animals on site are super friendly. Very nice quiet getaway. Pack a snack, as there is not much around! Definitely recommend.

The place is very clean and the bed is extremely comfy. The host is very helpful and available for his guests. Ta Van is beautiful and so peaceful, away from the buzz of the town, with many little restaurants, coffees, bars around to relax and enjoy the views. We loved eating breakfast in the yard every morning, sitting in front of the river, with the sounds of nature... the banana pancakes are cheap and truly delicious (more like crêpes!!) We did not try other food items there, but there were many options and it looked good. The host also rents motorbikes, but i would not necessarly recommend as the two options we were offered did not make me feel safe (we tried one and did not enjoy, and the other one was not recommended by other guests). Only a small detail; nothing negative to report. Would 100 % recommend the stay!

We had a fabulous stay with Minh! The hotel is beautiful, very modern and clean. The room was very nice, equiped with a really comfortable bed and pillows! Towels were changed everyday which is such a nice touch. Minh is an excellent host, so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is nice and comes with great coffee. The location is perfect, 8 mins from the old town, situated in a nice peaceful area. Overall we have loved our stay very much and would love to return.

Very kind and caring host, who waited for us at the pier, drove us to location and helped with luggage. The bungalow is beautiful, with gorgeous sunset view from the balcony, good restaurant on the beach, and wonderful people. Everything was so easy, including transfer to Krabi airport which hosts arranged for us. The fans kept us cool and comfortable, and mosquitoes were not a problem. Many thanks to Taeng and his staff. We would love to be back soon

Worth to recommend. House is really traditional Khmer style and hotel has beautiful garden and pool were you can relax. Very good restaurant at the place. Me and my family had excellent stay!

We absolutely loved our stay!! After many weeks in different cities, it was wonderful to get out in nature and Jim’s Homestay was the perfect retreat. Nestled in the mountains and by the river. It was lovely. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available for purchase at their home cafe, which was awesome. Coffee was phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend!

I have been in her farm for three months with my cat, and i have smiled every day. She has cute annimals and a very friendly personality. It's a beautiful quiet Green area to stay in!

will definitely be coming back. our bungalow right by the pool and looking at the ocean was amazing. the space was clean. no tv but you definitely don't need one here. the pool and ocean/beach was amazing. the food and drinks were a bit more expensive then we liked so I suggest going down the road to the local restaurants. complimentary breakfast was great and always fresh and free! This was the perfect place to end our 3 weeks in Vietnam. We will definitely be coming back!
