Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The Balcony

A unique apartment where you can relax, immersed in a centuries-old forest on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, less than an hour from Bologna. It is located at the Villini Archetta Mattei, eccentric buildings designed by Count Cesare Mattei, the father of electropathy, who lived and worked in the magical Rocchetta Mattei a couple of kilometers away. The Count's friends and patients were staying at the villas, a rare romantic experience for the time in the Apennines.
