We had a wonderful stay and the home was very comfortable! The location was really great - very walkable to many restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, etc. The home was clean and exactly as described. The host was very easy to contact, responsive and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home.

40 minutes by train from Kyoto! A private old house with a garden view, open-air bath, and mini-kitchen

AnnaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a truly wonderful stay at this house in a village near Kyoto. The home is incredibly cozy and spacious, with a stunning inner garden that brings such peace and serenity — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The house is in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. It beautifully blends traditional architecture with modern comforts and technologies. The hosts were extremely welcoming and kind. I couldn’t be happier with our stay — we enjoyed every moment and left with unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

Quiet and spacious Japanese style residence.

岩瀬Rating, 5 stars3 days ago
I stayed with an infant. A very spacious old house with a nice courtyard. It was raining heavily on the day I stayed, and the next day it was difficult to do outdoor sightseeing, but it was a nice time to relax while listening to the sound of rain in the courtyard.I was also happy to see the children, who usually spend their time in a small room, playing hide and seek and happily running around the corridor in a surprisingly large house. It was an unforgettable night in a space completely different from the usual hotels I am used to.Thank you very much.

Kyoto countryside , 5 min.from Hozugawa kudari

YunzhuRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed here for two nights and we only wish we've stayed longer and have spent more time exploring Kameoka while we were there. This house has a beautiful layout and structure that provided us so much serenity and the opportunity to appreciate the nature in surroundings. At the same time, Christian Is the warmest host we could ask for, being a dad of three kids with the youngest at 2, he came to pick us up on both evenings (the second day was actually quite late at night), helped us arrange the amazing experience of making and tasting soba with a sensai from the area, and made us delicious breakfast in the mornings.. We'd definitely love to come back and explore more of the area with Christian and recommend It to anyone who would like to experience the countryside life with easy access to the city!

Villa To Atelier, the closest art museum to Gibri Park, that can accommodate a large group

AkitoshiRating, 5 stars1 day ago
I stayed for Ghibli Park. Anyway, the room is beautiful, and if everyone goes to Ghibli Park, you should definitely stay here. The best location is an 8-minute drive to Ghibli Park. However, having a car was overwhelmingly convenient.A car should be required, especially if you have small children. It was all about going to convenience stores and supermarkets by taxi, and there was no number of cars in the rain, so I waited for more than 30 minutes. If you want to call a taxi, you can book everything before entering the schedule. If you think about getting to and from Ghibli Park, the supermarket, the convenience store, and the proximity to the neighborhood, the rental car is overwhelmingly cheap. This accommodation is best for large groups.Up to 2 families! Next time, I want to stay here by car!It was a great place to stay! In particular, I felt that the owner was a very wonderful person and loved the local area.I'd love to talk again if I get the chance. Thank you very much.
