Yuya-San is very friendly, speaks English and offered us our first Japanese breakfast, carefully prepared and tastefully presented in pretty plates For rainy days, there are plenty of board games and even a ping pong table, a large TV that we didn't need because the show was in the garden... this beautiful little Japanese garden like a gem in its setting. We stayed two nights, we slept extremely well, on very comfortable futons and very soft bed linen. In the bathroom, there is a kind of spa, a modern onsen for one person where it is good to relax after a day of walking The entire private accommodation consists of a large bedroom with two or three beds, a small living room and a very large living room, all overlooking a small interior garden, beautifully wooded. All in a traditional style, very typical And there is a bathroom with spa and shower and toilet

It is perfect for long stay! If you are a digital nomad, this is the place. It felt like home, the apartment has everything for a long stay, it is comfy, organized, clean and has enough tools for cooking. The neighborhood is lovely, very calm to relax and have a local experience in Japan. The only thing is that everything is far, 16 min walking to the subway station and 10 minutes to the supermarket/family mart. 1 hour by subway to downtown in Osaka or Kyoto/Nara. But for long stay this is not a problem once you have time to enjoy the city and the local neighborhood. Also in sakura season, the park in front of the apartment looks beautiful! There is a laundry room at the building so it is very easy to wash your clothes. Masako was very responsive and helpful all the time. I would definetly come back!

We stayed at Toshie’s designer house for 4 nights. The architecturally fantastic home is in a quiet neighbourhood a short busride from Gakuenmae station, with quick train access to Nara, Kyoto and Osaka. Toshie picked us up from the station, which was appreciated as it might have been tricky to find the house ourselves. She gave us instructions for local transport and amenities within walking distance. Toshie is an exceptional host who is genuinely interested in her guests making sure they have an enjoyable stay. During our visit we needed medical attention and Toshie was extremely helpful with taking us to the hospital and pharmacy. We felt very safe having her as a translator. One night we were able to join Toshie and her husband for dinner and also met their daughter who has a ceramics studio in the house. Thank you Toshie for your hospitality, kindness and generosity. We had an absolutely wonderful time. I highly recommend this house for a unique base to explore the Nara area.

It was a very clean and easy place to stay. I'd love to stay there again next time.
