Systrasel bungalow in South Iceland - HG-00016591

BenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This home was super to stay in! Very secluded, very quaint. We took advantage of the stove and appreciated the blackout blinds in the summer. An excellent stay! Note: If you plan on using the TV, be sure to bring your own streaming stick because the TV is simply a TV. This didn’t bother us as we were thrilled to be in Iceland, but could be something people would retire for the night with.

Aurora Guesthouse - Neðri-dalur 2

MarisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great base for three people (two adults, one child) for four nights exploring a little of the South coast. Kitchen had plenty of amenities (Tupperware, cooking equipment etc) for us to take pack lunches on hikes, and made it easy to dine in. We stopped at Costco on the way from the airport, and also topped up at a good grocery store 20 minutes away. So close to the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall that we waited until sunset around 10pm to visit for spectacular views without the crowds. Also gave us plenty of time to hike the Fimmvörðuháls Trail which was only 25 mins away. Accommodation was warm, shower & washing machine/ dryer worked great, and there were panoramic languid sunsets to feast on.

Black Beach Aurora Dome

JanetteRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a wonderful stay in the dome at the private black sand beach! Premium “glamping” experience at Camp Boutique. The common house was well appointed. Three showers available with awesome water pressure! You can park at your dome (there’s 2 for now). Very private. So warm and cozy, the soft rain patter was relaxing. The walk up the grassy hill and to the oceans edge was a highlight of our visit to southern Iceland. Would definitely return!

Grandma's House (Ommubaer)

What a fantastic home and in a perfect location to so many sites. Haraldur was lovely. He was so nice and funny as well as extremely accommodating and informative! For day trips we did most of the stops on the way to Vik and did the hike from Stong to Haifoss waterfall. We got great weather. If you get a chance eat at Hotel Rangá. The food was delicious. Great trip overall. Thanks Haraldur for being such a great host!!

A snow-covered pathway lined with leafless trees extends toward a clear blue sky. Light reflects off the snow, creating a bright and serene atmosphere. The road is flanked by trees, leading to structure outlines in the distance.

Cozy, forest cabin in Hvolsvöllur. Outdoor jacuzzi

CamillaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely time staying here while exploring the south of Iceland! I'd point out that the outside of the cabin looks pretty old and worn out, but the inside is very cosy and modern. The hot tub was a hit and the location was close to the main attractions like Seljalandsfoss, Reynisfjara and more! The information on Airbnb wasn't always up to date with things like the code to the lockbox, but the host answered immediately when we called her so it wasn't a problem. Also inside the cabin there's a instruction sheet on the wall and it had the correct WiFi password and so on. All in all I'd definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again!!

Búland . The dream house

VuRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Staying on the farm was a truly special experience! The room had everything we needed — from a cooktop to an oven and felt like a home away from home. The dog was so friendly, and we loved petting the horses; all the animals had such amazing energy. The host was incredibly welcoming and even gave us fresh eggs for breakfast. We had a great conversation about organic farming and its role in reducing greenhouse gases. If you get the chance, definitely support this place — it's a unique and meaningful stay!
