Luxury Farmhouse in Teesdale with Hot Tub

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was lovely staying at Paula’s place. The house is amazing and there was ample space for the 7 of us. We all found the beds comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the multiple bathrooms meant each room has effectively their own one. The hot tub was the cherry on top and it was pure bliss ending our days relaxing in it! Paula was extremely helpful, friendly and communicative. Having told her that one of us had their birthday, she offered to pick up a cake for them if we wanted, and while we didn’t take her up on her offer, she still had a bottle of Prosecco and a small cake waiting for us when we arrived! Paula’s place is very well situated to explore Yorkshire, including both the Dales to the west and the Moores to the East. Local attractions also included Raby castle and beautiful village of Barnard Castle, which was also the nearest hub for shops and restaurants, an 8 minute drive away. Thanks Paula for your hospitality. We’ll gladly return!

A spacious lounge area is depicted, featuring soft, neutral tones throughout. A comfortable sectional sofa is positioned near bifold doors, allowing light to fill the room. Light fixtures hang from the ceiling, while a textured area rug sits on the chevron-patterned wooden floor.

Darlington, West End Mowden Area

Immaculate property - even bigger and more stunning than the photos represent. So luxurious. Everything that you could need and more. The comfiest beds that I have slept in when staying in rented accommodation. Great location, quiet and safe neighbourhood. Darren is extremely responsive and understanding. I would easily pay double what we did to stay here - couldn’t have asked for more.
The exterior of a rustic railway carriage is displayed, featuring a warm wood finish. Two lounge chairs are positioned outside, while a wood-fired hot tub is visible nearby. Soft outdoor lighting enhances the inviting ambiance, set among natural surroundings.

A unique experience, beautiful accommodation in a stunning part of the countryside. Tarn was straight to hand with any extras we needed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from from there busy lifestyle to unwind for a few days.

Chalice Cottage

Claire & Guy’s cottage is absolutely beautiful. Claire was amazing at responding to my messages really quickly and even allowed us flexible check in and check out times, which was a god send with our two children. The cottage is up a little track surrounded by beautiful countryside and feels so peaceful but is still close to lots of things. The cottage is decorated beautifully and has everything you need. We were given plenty of instructions prior to arriving and we had everything we need throughout the stay. Can’t wait to come back one day! For anyone attending a wedding at Middleton Lodge, it’s about 10-15mins away so perfect location!

Luxe Chapel Apartment with Roll-Top Bath

ToraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a lovely stay in Barnard Castle. The apartment was amazing, fab quirky decor, great facilities such as mini dishwasher and a washing machine. Dishwasher tablets and cleaning supplies provided which was as great as you don’t always get this. Easy to park on the roads outside with no issues but was also a car park a few minutes walk away if needed. Barnard Castle itself is a quiet little town, has the castle ruins to visit, Bowes museum, Egglestone Abbey and Raby castle close by. Not much to offer in terms of restaurants/bars but we did highly rate Babul’s for curry and they also do insanely good cocktails! The meanacolada 👌🏻 We also liked a little bar called Crobar. A cute little staycation for a couple of nights away with our puppy. Only thing to note was the pigeons! There were crazy amounts of them on the roof/windowsills and surrounding roofs and they stopped us sleeping! Obviously nothing the owners can control but just worth noting. Maybe bring earplugs.

Country Manor House - Nr Richmond North Yorkshire

DeborahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at the Manor for our family get together, the Manor was very spacious with a well equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and plenty of space for our family of twelve. We especially enjoyed the garden which had plenty of tables and chairs for us all, the children had a great time. Highly recommend!
A historic stone bridge spans a river, with its arches gracefully reflected in the water. Lush greenery lines the riverbank, and traditional buildings are visible in the background under a partly cloudy sky.
