Calf cabin- Unique and beautiful farmstead!

Countryside getaway! If you want to experience something unique during your trip to Iceland this little house has been repurposed as guest house. On our farm it has always been called the Calf cabin, as it was used as a small barn and a stable in the past. On the outside we preserved the old rock laying and the architecture style but mixed old and new styles on the inside. We recycled and repurposed as much material as possible and we are pleased with the outcome. Now it is a cozy little suite.

Fine little cabin 40 sqm with a good kitchen, bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom queen size bed (and baby crib). Attic with mattresses for 4. Living room with a sleeping couch for 2. (Sleeping place for 6 good friends.) Good cabin to stay in, warm and cosy. Good to have as a base because there is short drive to Reykjavik(80 km), south and west side of Iceland. Short drive to nature of the South: Golden Circle, Waterfall Faxi, Seljalandsfoss, Skógarfoss, glacier, mountains, lakes and rivers.

Vorsabær Apartment is very well located for couples travelling in the Golden Circle area. Please notice we are 25 minutes drive from Selfoss town in the middle of the Golden circle area. From here there are 15 minutes to Flúðir, 30 minutes to Þjórsárdalur and within 45 minutes to Geysir, Gullfoss and þingvellir Nationalpark. Check in is very easy, a keybox outside the door. Then Hvílusteinn is perfect as a getaway from the city into the wilderness & as a base camp for South Iceland, within 100 km you have most of Iceland's popular gems! Airport about 170km away. It's nice to just enjoy the local nature and the northern lights in this remote and secluded area of the countryside with a private outdoor shower and shared indoor shower and a sauna. Perfect stay for exploring south Iceland and enjoy nature and the northern lights in winter. Beautiful cabin by the river Hvítá in a prime location in the Golden Circle. Near Gullfoss and Geysir and only 100 km to the capital city Reykjavík. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 persons. One bedroom with beds for two people. In the living room there is a pull-out sofa for two persons. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower and the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.

We had a great time staying in this beautiful home! The beds were comfy, and it was in a perfect location. If you have little ones traveling with you, look no further, this is the perfect family home. Silja was a wonderful host and very helpful as well as accommodating! This was also a perfect place to view the northern lights from the comfort of the home. We will definitely be looking to stay here on our future trips.

I can only recommend this place. It was very clean, and has a lot of amenities, including a washing machine and a dryer. The kitchen is shared between 4 rooms, but everyone has there own cabinet drawer and shelf in the fridge. Biggest tea selection I saw in any Airbnb accommodation. The most amazing part is that you can go into the Secret lagoon as many times you want while you are guest there (in opening hours).

Ein Juwel!!! Das Häuschen ist in sehr guten Zustand, innen so wie außen. Alles wirkt noch neuwertig. Es ist alles vorhanden was man Brauch um eine schöne Zeit zu haben. Der Ausblick ist atemberaubend wir haben jede Minute genossen. Der Check in und die Kommunikation mit unserem Gastgeber war sehr gut. Gerne wieder!

I cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was here, and how above and beyond the hosts went. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a beautiful, private getaway. Seeing how pretty the place looked in the pictures, I booked this spot to bring my fiancé to after proposing to her on the south coast. The hosts were kind enough to pick up decorations that I ordered from a nearby post office, and decorate the place beautifully well in time before I brought her there. They were extremely communicative in the weeks leading up to my stay, and put so much time, care, and attention to detail into the decorations while asking for nothing in return. In addition, the place was absolutely spotless and clean throughout. If you're looking for a serene stay with stunning views, cleaned to the highest standard, with extremely friendly and responsive hosts, this is your place.

It has everything that you need and more, everything is curated perfectly, the hot tub is a must and it’s awesome just to bathe in and watch the sunset. This was incredibly convenient for its location on the golden circle, close to both Geysir and Gulfoss. We only stayed for a quick overnight, and the space served the three of us well. We never had a problem with access to the bathrooms, though perhaps they weren’t fully booked that night either.

Mein absolutes Highlight an Airbnb, die ich je hatte. Es war unglaublich schön und liebevoll mit vielen Details eingerichtet. Ruhige private Umgebung für erholsame Tage. Für Aktivitäten ist der golden Circle gut und schnell zu erreichen. Es gibt sogar mit dem Auto 8 Minuten entfernt eine heisse Quelle (Hrunalaug, 09:00-23:00 Uhr offen). Der Kaffe war ausgezeichnet für alle, die gerne am morgen früh draussen in der Natur sitzen und diesen geniessen wollen. Ich kann die Unterkunft empfehlen! Ich war zwei Tage dort. Wenn jemand mehr Zeit hat, empfehle ich mehre Tage.
