Yves, my husband, is an EPFZ architect. He renovated this 1930s house, inspired by the Corbusier. He chose a design and modern style with high-performance home automation: door opening code, electric blinds, wifi, TV and DVD... The glass walls in the bedroom, modern sanitary appliances, black parquet flooring... He is passionate about electric guitar and just bought a white stratocaster. He learns guitar with endless patience and will advise you on good restaurants, concerts, things to do or see! The guest rooms are fortunately independent from our apartment, just below. Welcome to our house! I am a tourism and public relations specialist. These two professions, which I work at home, allow me great availability for my clientele. I like sport, running by the lake or in the Gorges du Chauderon, I like to read and write, sing especially too! I look forward to hosting you and my husband and our three older children.
We like to cook great breakfasts with local produce, my mom's jams, and my brother's cheese, renowned cheese maker! We couldn't live without this stunning view of Lake Geneva, it changes color every day, the sunsets are magnificent and as we are contemplators, we enjoy ourselves. The Saint-Vincent church, just behind the house, rings the bell every 15 minutes. At first, it bothered us in our sleep, now we got used to it. Some hosts complain about this, but they're rare. Because in summer, they can close the windows and turn on the air conditioning.
We travel a lot, all over the world, to discover other places, other ways of life and to understand the mentality of our hosts too! I am the CEO of an NGO (Website hidden by Airbnb) for education and development in a Nepal Valley, called Khumbu. It's at the entrance to Everest National Park (Sargamatha).
We're going to see all the good movies in the cinema... and Yves loves music, jazz Montreux Festival, among others, and I'm Freddy Mercury, Queen. It's our age! How about you?
