Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Honshu

We had the best night stay at this B n B in a quiet area surrounded by a beautiful Japanese garden and neighbourhood rice fields. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and supplied everything we needed and more than expected. We only stayed for 1 night but would have loved to have stayed for more. In the morning our hosts cooked us a big breakfast and made us a big pot of their coffee. If you want to stay somewhere wholesome and provided with a Japanese house and family stay, this is the one to pick! Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend!

Perfect location ,clean & comfortable

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful home for our honeymoon, and it was truly one of the best host experiences we've had in Japan! Our host went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable-always doing her best to communicate and make us feel at home. She even kept us updated on the weather and helped arrange taxis, which made everything so much easier. And don't even get me started on the location-Shimoda, along with this home, is an absolute hidden gem. Peaceful, charming, and unforgettable. We're already looking forward to coming back and booking again!

Best Airbnb we have stayed in by far! Not your typical Airbnb. Christian and his wife take care of you like a family guest. They drive you places, help you plan your stay, cool breakfast, share their sake, and makes reservations plus more! They are so friendly and nice! The house is gorgeous! Just as pictured. Modern bathrooms with old Japanese feel throughout. We did the soba and the pottery - loved both! Thank you for all!

Yuji a été extrêmement réactif et compréhensif. Son logement est d’un calme rare et nous avons apprécié la vue spectaculaire sur les montagnes. Azumino est paisible mais regorge de restaurants qui nous ont marqué. Utilisez la map de Yuji vous ne serez pas déçus. Merci encore

Super clean and modern house with an unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji. Has all the amenities you would need for your stay. Highly recommend!

Nous avons eu un peu de trouble à se rendre en train…mais dès que nous sommes arrivés, nos soucis ont disparus. Nous avons été accueillis par la mère de Miwa qui était tout de suite très gentille et invitante. Elle nous a fait une tournée du logement avec des explications. Elle ne parle qu’un peu anglais, mais elle utilisait son téléphone pour nous faire une traduction, ce qui fut très apprécié. Pendant le reste du séjour, elle était toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questionnements. Nous avons également fait affaire avec elle pour la location de vélos électriques, une activité très agréable. À notre dernière soirée, la maman de Miwa est même venue nous offrir un dessert fait maison. Le logement en soi est une maison traditionnelle trop mignonne et très spacieuse. Bref, super expérience, nous avons adoré. ❤️

Die Unterkunft war fantastisch! Die Lage, Ausstattung und Sauberkeit waren perfekt. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Überall gab es klare Beschriftungen und Hinweise, sodass wir uns gut zurechtfanden. Wir konnten unser Gepäck sogar schon vor dem Check-in im Eingangsbereich abstellen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und bedanken uns herzlich für die Gastfreundschaft.

Super stylish, spacious, clean and fully stocked with amenities. Probably the most visually pleasing airBNB I’ve ever stayed in in all my years. Right next door to metro station and Family Mart. Wonderful and hospitable hosts. Highly recommend 11/10

Awesome stay. Host was very nice in helping us get to the station. Loved that we had bikes available to use during the stay and the room itself was very clean, comfortable, and cozy.

Essa pequena casa é uma experiência única. Sentar na varanda em frente ao riacho é muito confortável e gostoso. dormir em casa de tatame foi muito especial. A cozinha é pequena recomendo apenas par a pequenas refeições. A casa é fresca e o banheiro e duchas são bem equipados. Obrigada .

Gimmicky. I want to get that out of the way right now. This property is capitalizing off of having an onsen nearby with traditional looking Japanese bedding and decor. That's what got me, and it might be what's getting you...I would say that's probably not worth it. The place itself is fine. The bedding is fine, but in the end I chose this place over other cheaper options for the novelty, I feel I could have gotten a little bit better value elsewhere, but still overall happy with what I got and what I paid. I used the onsen once during my two week stay. I really like onsens, but this one is small, busy, and I just wasn't a fan. Service was awesome. He spoke great English, and helped me bring my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. Overall, despite starting out critical here, this place is really nice and I like the quiet area next to nice walking paths. Lastly, I wish the place had a small dining table and chairs. You basically have to eat at a small low table on the floor.

5 stars all round, authentic restaraunts walking distance from the apartment, spacious place, parking on the ground floor, walk to the museums, castle, temple, shopping arcade. Enjoy a good meal, drink sake and walk home. Good washing machine. I would like to have had darker curtains to keep the morning light out, that would make it 6 stars. I recommend staying here, thankyou Mineo.

I would recommend this place and would stay here again if I have the chance. Harumi was very responsive and met me in person for check-in. She has taken care of everything and the place was very nice and clean and the view of the river is amazing!

A great spot in Osaka! I was only here for one night but the space would be great for someone staying long term. Host lives/works in the building so he can help with luggage if you get in early or have any issues. Stocked kitchen and large fridge and amenities! Great value!

Lovely place. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Host was flexible with my check in time as I wasn’t sure what time I arrived til I got on the train. As it was raining on the day I left, host was kind enough to offer to drive me to train station as well as work out the train timetable for me. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience.

Summer is great! The location was perfect for shopping and fun restaurants. It was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable. I actually felt. very lucky to find a place where we were so close to so much. Highly recommend 💞

Very convenient location and easy check in

We had a very plaesant stay in this hotel. Bedding is impeccable, very comfortable and spacious. The shower has some electronic equipment like heating. A little balcony is available. The place is very lovely and we can only recommend to have a star there!

The location was perfect — right at the entrance of Kuromon Market and very convenient to get to Namba and nearby attractions. The apartment was clean and well-equipped with a stove, microwave, and fridge, which was great for a short family stay. Space was a bit tight for four, but still manageable and comfortable overall. A great spot for exploring Osaka!

We had a lovely stay at Shunki’s place! Everything was clean and spacious with easy check in and out instructions. The location was convenient to the train station and we had multiple convenient stores and shops for our every day needs. We were welcomed with a box of treats when we arrived and it was super sweet! Highly recommend :)

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in der Villa Kamakura. Toshi ist wirklich der perfekte Gastgeber. Bereits vor Anreise wurden wir mit reichlich nützlichen Informationen versorgt, auch mit vielen Tipps zur Umgebung, selten haben wir so einen tollen Service erlebt. Und das Apartment selbst war auch einfach nur super und sehr gut gelegen. Es fehlte an nichts, man hatte einen tollen Ausblick, das Bett war sehr bequem. Wir kommen gerne wieder! :)
