It was a great location, 5 minutes by car to Halenire Terrace. I stayed for a week, and it was very clean and had all the dishes, and I had a very pleasant time in a lovely cottage. I would love to stay here again when I go to Karuizawa.

Thanks for your hospitality for 3 days. I was completely refreshed. It was my first time using airbnb and it was really nice to come. I personally admired the details of the equipment, as well as the facilities such as the barbecue, sauna, and location. Cushioned sofas, sleeping bags, couch chairs, and plenty of sandals. It was a small thing, but these made me enjoy it without stress. Thank you again for everything.

First time try to use the Japanese style hearth, such a great experience! DIY toriyaki using the hearth is so delicious! We bought raw chicken from the store recommended by the host. It is simply the best chicken I cooked! The host is very easy to communicate and very patient!

It was the second time I used it, and this time, both adults and children had the best time! The bath was clean and there were some power-ups, so it was easy to use. They were also helpful in responding to questions on the day.Thank you!

It was helpful to be in contact with them from the facility information in advance. I'm not a very quick responder myself, but he answered my questions politely. It seems to be close to the ski resort (I don't do winter sports), but there was actually a snow slide at a nearby hotel during Golden Week. The cascading hot springs were also elegant, and they said that in winter you can use them by adding hot water, but during Golden Week the temperature drops below 10 degrees in the evening, so I added hot water and enjoyed it. Basically, we had a barbecue outside every day for dinner, and the barbecue was fun in the open air.The nearest supermarket doesn't have a great selection, so I recommend going after stocking up in advance or getting groceries while sightseeing. It also takes about an hour to get to Niigata (Yuzawa ~ Minami-Uonuma), so it's also a good point that you can enjoy sightseeing in both Gunma and Niigata. One point, the door that was used frequently was difficult to close, so when my child closed it, it didn't close properly, and the cold air sometimes came into the living room, so I think you need to be careful about that.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. It was a phenomenal place for a big group. The pool, sauna, jacuzzis, multiple bathrooms and showers. It has the karaoke, the Nintendo switch. Definitely book this place. We were sad we only stayed for one night here. We went during "off season" it seems so be prepared for a few restaurants in the area to close early if you go when it's not beach weather. I don't know how walkable it is as we had rented a car to come here. They have plenty of parking and it is such a nice private area to recharge. We had a great stay! Would gladly visit this Airbnb whenever again.

I visited with my family.The barbecue, bonfire, Heidi-like swing, hammocks, and sea views were also awesome and I enjoyed it.The facilities are clean and safe. Thank you very much. Large cars require quite a bit of driving skills.

The facility was very beautiful, as shown in the photos!The weather was bad, but the host was thoughtful and changed the check-out time to later for free, and the dog was happily running around in the garden. It was a very pleasant trip because of the kind service!

The buildings and facilities are traditional, giving a sense of history, but it was wonderful that the space has continued to be used and developed to the present day.An environment surrounded by lush trees and flowers, and the experience of manipulating fire.It is a space where you can enjoy the changing skies, such as the morning light, the sunset, and the night sky full of stars, while spending time in close proximity to nature, even on a cold, rainy day or a sweaty day.I enjoyed talking to the host, Mr. Esumi, and he was very kind to me when I asked him about life here.You will also have the experience of openly accepting the unfamiliar and gaining new skills while making mistakes.It is a place where children and adults can spend time together without barriers and with a rich sense of sensibility.

Just very 癒された. This is a place that made me glad for hustle and bustle, because how else otherwise could I know to better appreciate the calm I found here? Open-air woodfire onsen. Ikebana and art with explanatory labels in every room. Well-organised library of great reads. A washer-dryer that really does minimise creases (Sharp pls bring this model into SG pronto). An entire fridge section dedicated to chilled glasses?? Come on. Ryunohara provided every modern comfort with more thought and love than my ex-husband could muster. Please do yourself a favour and order meals because Dana is an incredible cook. In chillier weather they'd have a small heater warming your back as you eat; it's good for humanity that such genius was not put to evil. Neither 1000 characters nor my 2-night stay are enough. Although building cairns and generally zoning out at the nearby riverside was plenty enough for me, I will be back - either for a retreat, or with a car so I can explore the wider area.

It was in a great location. I enjoyed the sunset on the terrace. We had a very good time in the private space. I think the quietness will change depending on whether there are guests in the container house next door. The kitchen was also well equipped, and it was useful for cooking yourself with seasonings such as Shodoshima olives and salt. It was a short stay this time, but I would like to visit again.

Convenient location, great views, and nice interiors, clean environment and a perfect stay.Unfortunately, the weather was bad on the first day, but they helped us find facilities that we could enjoy even in the rain. I would definitely like to stay there again.

We had a great time at Yuji’s spot. The building is well-renovated, clean, and there are many things to do with the lake, a canoe boat, sauna, barbecue, sauna… Perfect for a group trip. Yuji and his co-hosts were super helpful in providing instructions and recommendations. I definitely recommend this place to enjoy the Japanese countryside!
