I wanted you to relax in the Azumino air and spend a lot of luxurious time. It is a 5-minute walk from Meishina Station from our facility, and 2 stops to Matsumoto Station on the Shinnoi Line. It is easy to go towards Nagano. Mt. Nagamine, abandoned lines, Daio wasabi, swaths, etc. are close by. Please enjoy Azumino sightseeing There is a "Maekawa" flowing right in front of you, such as canoeing, rafting, sap, etc. There is a "Longmenbuchi Canoe Stadium" and you can walk there, so it is also a great place to practice. Old Meisho Town is a local town, not a downtown area. The neighborhood is not downtown, so there is nothing. Recommended for those who are interested in living in the countryside and relocating to two areas, or those who are considering it.

Chie & Chris's place is located in a tiny, very quiet alley in the heart of Gion. There are several temples & shrines located within walking distance, & we found incredible restaurants nearby. They gave us clear instructions on what to tell the cab driver to get there, & self check-in was easy. The accomodations were pristinely clean. The master bedroom with a large Western style bed is upstairs, & the steps are steep which was no issue for us at all but might be for elderly, injured, or handicapped folks. My 6'5" husband had to be careful to duck under door frames because of his height but staying in a historic machiya was worth the small effort. Our 14-year-old son slept on a futon on the main level & loved it. Communication was excellent, & they gave us numerous recommendations for restaurants. There is a Lawson konbini & a grocery store close by, as well as a quaint bar across the alley. We loved being within walking distance of the action coupled with the quietness of the night.

What an amazing stay we had! Sho was the best host we have ever had on Airbnb! He was incredibly responsive and helpful! That in combination with the stunning Airbnb was the perfect recipe for the best stay. The place is massive and the amenities Sho had included were unmatched! Takashi’s place is wonderful and so peaceful! The village and its people are very welcoming. And the ramen meal in Kikyoya was amazing. Nakasendo Way with its shogunate history is easy and quick to get to by car from Takashi’s place. Renting a car was very easy and is well worth doing for discovering the area. We were fortunate to have found Takashi’s gem of a place on Airbnb. He is a great and kind host, who truly cares for his guests.

Loved this beautiful and elegantly appointed house. Small zen gardens outside the large windows. We were only disappointed in the combination washer/dryer because of long cycles and the door stays locked for a long time to cool down. Keeping loads small works best. Even then be careful to allow plenty of time. Conveniently located to train and bus transit with many small stores close-by. In a clean small side street , so quiet and private, but near a major street and the river with great paved trails.

It was in a great location. I enjoyed the sunset on the terrace. We had a very good time in the private space. I think the quietness will change depending on whether there are guests in the container house next door. The kitchen was also well equipped, and it was useful for cooking yourself with seasonings such as Shodoshima olives and salt. It was a short stay this time, but I would like to visit again.
