Cottage vacation rentals in Holden Beach

Kevin reached out prior to our visit to make sure we had all the information we needed. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by little signs, welcoming us, as well as our dog, by name! The beach-themed decor is super cute! The gated deck area and the screened in porch were great for us and our dog. The community is very welcoming and friendly. Having access to the golf cart was helpful and convenient. We enjoyed the pools and Jacuzzi in the community area. Although it rained all week during our stay, we were able to find fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, such as Ripley’s aquarium, the house of mirrors and the haunted house. We highly recommend crabby Mike’s seafood buffet as a fun place to eat. The thermostat on the AC broke during our stay. Kevin was at the door within about 30 minutes and it was fixed by a professional within two hours. We really appreciated his responsiveness! Kevin and Janet were excellent hosts and we enjoyed our stay at the playful pelican very much!

I have booked multiple Air BnB’s this by far has been the best experience. The home was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The snacks were an added bonus and perfectly picked! If you are considering booking this DO IT! Board games and books are available. Kristy has equipped that house with exactly what you need to enjoy time as a couple or with children.

We had a great experience at this Airbnb! The home was very clean and well appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed having access to the golf cart—it made getting around the neighborhood and to the beach easy and fun. The host provided very detailed instructions, which helped a lot. We also appreciated being able to check in early once the cleaners were finished—such a nice bonus! One thing to keep in mind is that there are several keys and key cards to manage: a house key in a lockbox with a code, a golf cart key, a shed key, and a key card for neighborhood and beach access. The key card must be purchased separately for $30 from the clubhouse, which has specific operating hours—so plan ahead for that. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we’d definitely return!

We enjoyed a beautiful week with my son, his wife and two grandchildren. they loved the golf cart rides and the pools. splash pad was awesome. private beach access was wonderful plus May was perfect weather

Our family loved this house and location - plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, tennis courts out back, friendly neighbors, easy access to restaurants and stores. Jim was responded quickly when we asked for help with supplies. The spring pollen factor was high - so be ready! We washed the decks and chairs and that improved things. We will return!

I absolutely adore this cute little beach house. It was a perfect best friend get away. I felt like I was staging in a beach cottage straight off hgtv. My only suggestion is a full length mirror for the females! Definitely would stay here again.

Very responsive and helpful host- the property is small, but worked for our family of 4 with two small children. The location of this property was AMAZING, very private and quiet lane and a very short walk to the beach.

Absolutely loved the area and the space! Everything was clean, quiet neighborhood, and close to all of our destinations/attractions! Jeff was very responsive and proactive, answering all of my questions before I even had to ask them! Will definitely be staying again when I’m in the area!

This was our 1st experience in an Airbnb. Due to a water pipe break at our house it became our "Home away from home" for 3 mos. A definite 5+ rating. We celebrated the end of winter & beginning of spring & summer with different flowers arriving as the seasons changed. Gorgeous azaleas, irises, gladiolas, etc. banana plants all coming back to life. The cottage is very clean & inviting. The kitchen is well supplied, the beds are very comfortable, the front & backyard well kept & perfect for our 15 yr. old dog. There are beach toys, floats, beach chairs etc, for beach enjoyment. Our hosts, Jonny and Britt, added so many extra touches to make one’s stay special. They are superb hosts, gracious, attentive, & caring, with a great sense of humor, and "Jonny" on the spot when a need arises. We would recommend 114 Hawthorne to anyone for a relaxing get away to enjoy all Historic Wilmington & the Beaches have to offer. Thanks Jonny & Britt for everything! It couldn't have been better.

The house was clean and inviting. Enough room for my whole family and dog. Alot of extra things that was there that I did not have to worry about buying, like beach towels, other beach stuff, cleaning products, dog bowls etc. Backyard was perfect for my dog, I did not have to worry about letting her out and getting out. I would definitely stay again if back in Wilmington.

My wife and I as well as our 2 kids and our pittie Mama loved our stay. it's the perfect spot for those with a furry family member. Right at the lake and the beach. We plan to save Lisa's place for possible future trips. Be sure to check out the dog photo book of all of the four legged guests when you stay. ❤️

Bruce was a great host. His place was directly across the street from the beach which made it great & easy for us because we had small children. Bruce was very responsive.

Beautiful home in a gated community, very safe and peaceful. It is tucked away in the back so you have wonderful views of the marsh/ocean and sunrise. Neighbors were friendly. The home was clean and had your basic toiletries for use, lots of towels. The community does have some coyotes so we had to be a bit watchful when walking the dogs but did not have any issues with them. Host was very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Loved this little getaway. Off the main beach and very little traffic. The place screams “relax”. Loved the outside shower for getting rid of the sand. Most beautiful wind chimes. Short trip to beach and to some excellent restaurants.

We love charlottes place! This was our fourth summer at hooked on holden. Always clean and cozy. And you can’t beat the location to the beach! Thanks for a great stay!!

We had such a wonderful stay! The place was cozy, beautifully maintained, and had so much charm. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. It was the perfect spot to unwind. A great bonus was having a restaurant with live music just a short walk away. Most of all, our host was truly exceptional, friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

It was an amazing place! It’s worth the stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Janet’s Retreat. We’ve been coming to Holden for years and think this is one of the best parts of the island—the beach access was fantastic and the beach wasn’t crowded, even on a popular week. Easy bike access to Bridgeview Park and other destinations. The house truly felt like home, and the owners were easy to work with and responsive to messages. Washer and dryer were convenient, the outdoor shower was perfect (one of my favorite things about the beach), there were bikes, boogie boards, chairs, a beach shade: everything we needed. A truly great week.

If you are looking for a special place to get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful setting look no further than What “A” View. It was in a private and quiet area. Plenty of great restaurants with a quick car ride. The house itself was perfect for a few nights away. Cozy, warm and inviting.

Joe's place was everything we needed. Being so close to the beach made it easy to walk there multiple times a day. His house was clean and had everything we needed. We brought our two dogs and the fenced in back yard made it easy to let them out and have a place to go. I really appreciated the water hose, which we used everyday to wash off our dogs after the beach, as well as the outdoor shower for us. I would definitely recommend Joes place for anyone looking for a cute place to stay within walking distance to the beach.

Wonderful experience! Super cute little beach cottage, very close to beach and shops. Loved that it was dog friendly and fenced yard. Great communication from host as well!
