Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hinckley

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Lovely little place with beautiful views, very peaceful (we hardly saw another human the whole time we were there). The little added touches were lovely. It was a little smaller than we thought it would be, but we hadn’t done a glamping pod before so I guess we didn’t know what to really expect. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the evenings, definitely an added bonus!! And the welcome and greeting was really lovely and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants :)

Wow! Our group of 9 ladies have had the most amazing weekend at this lovely property. We loved the warm welcome from the hosts & very much appreciated the goodies left out for us & helpful instructions. We were lucky to have beautiful sunshine, enabling us to make the most of the wonderful garden. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and making s’mores in the hobbit hut, as well as yoga on the lawn & watercolour painting under the apple tree - a truly blissful girls’ weekend! The bunnies & Welly the pig were gorgeous! The house was clean & there was plenty of room for the 9 of us, we barely used the lounge and dining room! We also hired the games barn & it was like having our own little pub & a great evening’s entertainment. We would have loved to have stayed longer & tried out the pizza oven. We enjoyed a long walk including the spooky railway tunnel & a great meal over the road at the pub. We couldn’t have asked for more and would love to return! Thank you Hannah & Noel :)

The house was perfect for our annual family reunion which included 8 adults & 3 children. It felt spacious and welcoming. Having a hot tub in the garden was a real bonus and well used. Garden area was enclosed and private. Location was a few minutes walk from town in a very desirable area. We walked to Anne Hathaway's cottage in about 25 minutes & found a back route to the church where Shakespeare is buried near the river. I think Natasha should be upgraded to Superhost as she was helpful but unobtrusive! Instructions were clearly sent by & her responses to queries were very prompt. We all felt the stay could not have been improved upon and cannot find anything negative to say about it. Thank you very much indeed.

We loved our stay at this beautiful lodge! The pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s just on the edge of the property so no one is overlooking you and it felt totally secluded and private. We also enjoyed a few good walks and yummy carvery Sunday lunch at the Foxton Locks pub.

Absolutely perfect venue. Really peaceful and beautiful countryside. Fred and Charlotte responded quickly to every question we had. Would highly recommend visiting for a weekend with friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mutton Barn. The house was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect: a beautiful, rural position - so quiet - all we could hear was birdsong! The views from the house were outstanding! We loved seeing the wildlife: badgers feeding on the lawn, pheasants in the garden, deer roaming across the fields and a bird of prey swooping from tree to tree as we drove up to the house on our arrival. Paul was a very friendly, obliging and helpful host - we certainly appreciated the lighting of the log burner each night. Many thanks too, Paul, for the champagne, milk and chocolates you left for us - they were much appreciated!

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful, spacious house. Extremely comfortable furniture and everything that is required for your stay. Plenty of little extras to ensure your trip is carefree. 2 welcoming local pubs within a slow 15 minute wander. Both providing hearty meals. We only tried The Crown, food was lovely. A highly recommended retreat to explore the local area.

My third visit to Adriana's place. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Balsall Common has all the facilities needed for an easy stay including some great places to eat and easy access by train or road to Birmingham and Coventry. I'll be back.

Great base for me as I was an exhibitor at BBC Gardeners World Live so wanted a self contained space to stay that was 10 minutes away and this place fitted that perfectly. Lovely area and the boat pub on the canal is a 5 minute walk away which I highly recommend. Well equipped kitchen and great powerful shower. Comfy bed and convenient parking space. I’d come back here when next in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Clare’s place. The setting was beautiful, the house was exactly as described, and we all felt very at home there. Clare provided lots of local information which was really useful so that we could make the most of our stay. The village was tranquil and exactly what we were looking for - a local pub within walking distance and some great walks from the house. Clare’s place was clean, homely, and made for an excellent stay which three generations of our family could all enjoy and make memories there. I can certainly see us returning!

We stayed here for a couple of nights to break a long journey after a few weeks away. Mary communicated in a very friendly and helpful manner and, kindly, left bread, milk, etc. for us, which was much appreciated. The flat is spacious, very well-equipped and has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. It is bigger than it appears in the photos so perhaps some more flattering pictures could show this. The flat had the added bonuses of off-road parking and a small garden, perfect for our collie. It was an easy walk from here into Leamington Spa and an even shorter one to the canal towpath, which was great for walking our dog. I would recommend this strongly for anyone looking for homely and comfortable accommodation in Leamington Spa, especially if you’re on holiday with your dog. Thanks very much.

What a lovely, character and spacious cottage. The cottage is set within the best gardens we have seen at an Airbnb. The instruction booklet is very thorough and full of great recommendations of the local area and history of the cottage itself. There are ample appliances, utensils, pots and pans with plenty of cutlery and glasses. The garden and summer house are a pleasure to sit in and you can tell they are very well looked after and we spent every evening outside. It is a very quiet neighbourhood and a peaceful sleep had by all. It is within walking distance, by the river, to the local village which has some outstanding restaurants and pubs. If mobility is an issue, a taxi is less than £5 to the village. We had the pleasure of meeting Geoff and his wife in the garden and they are such friendly and caring hosts. We would highly recommend staying here and would certainly love to stay again. Thank you for a very memorable weekend.

What can I say. For me it’s exactly what air bnb is all about.. quirky extremely well put together accommodation in a beautiful location! Canoes.. bikes.. cooking facilities.. food storage.. shower. Toilets. Areas to play., the tiny house is just amazing. Beds are great and stove is perfect! Sitting out on the decking with the fire pit watching the river and inquisitive cows 😂 while roasting marshmallows! It’s just all perfect. John was the perfect host and extremely helpful and his doggy is so friendly, thank you for sharing what you have built. we will most definitely be back soon! Chris and Louise

I recently stayed at this beautiful cottage and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the charm of the place – the cottage is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. One of the absolute highlights was the private access to the pool. It was such a luxury to be able to take a dip whenever we pleased, without having to share the space, the booking slots was such a clever way to achieve this. Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The cottage itself is perfectly situated for relaxation but also close enough to explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing, romantic, or even family-friendly escape with a touch of luxury and loads of charm, this place is a gem.

From 1st contact, Patricia was quick to reply & friendly. Her lodge was spotless and equipped with everything u cld want. Welcome pack of bread / milk etc such a lovely thought. Flowers and plants around the lodge are absolutely beautiful! The park itself is so peaceful. Would definately recommend

We had a wonderful 3-day stay with my family at this beautiful Cow cottage. The place was impeccably clean and incredibly peaceful, offering a perfect escape. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely swimming pool, we had a fantastic time. The nearby farm shop was also a delightful bonus, providing some great local finds. Wendy was sonice, helpful, and welcomed.

Sharon’s property is nothing short of exceptional. It was perfect to accommodate our (quiet) hen party, with plenty of comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and many other rooms to enjoy. The pool area was super clean and very enjoyable in the sunny weather we had. Sharon herself was the most welcoming host we could have hoped for. She gave us an excellent tour of the house and grounds open our arrival, and was always on hand next door for any queries or just a chat if we fancied! She was even kind enough to let us have a late checkout so that we could enjoyed the pool for longer. Thank you so much Sharon x

Amazing place with a fantastic host who was so helpful and provided all the information needed and very quick to respond. Perfect for my young family with plenty of options for my kids and swimming pool such an added bonus. Thank you! No doubt we will be back
