Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Higgins Lake

Excellent stay at this Airbnb. If you are thinking of coming to St Helen to ride the ORV trails, this is an excellent choice! It’s right down the street from St Helen Motorsports, two gas stations, 3 restaurants, 2 pizza shops and multiple trail head entrances within 2 miles or less!!! The house looks exactly like the pictures and description, and the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and indoor fireplace were amazing! I will note….it is a bit on the small side. Beds are as described, but feet hang off the bed and rooms are small. 4 grown adults was pushing it here, especially with one bathroom. Also note. There is BARELY enough room for a small truck and trailer to park in front. The other truck had to park underneath the large garage due to no park space. Other than that, which is really just an explanation, it is the ultimate st Helen stop!

I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

Edyta’s place was perfect - traveling with an infant can be tough, having a place that was equipped with a baby gate, high chair, pack-n-play, and children’s toys made our trip significantly easier. Truly anything you need or want is at or within walking distance to the house! The public beach access, a park, a small convenience/party store and food are all within a 5 mins walk. We had a great trip and can’t wait to visit again (especially once the weather gets a bit warmer!)

This home was exactly what we were hoping it would be: peaceful, quiet, secluded, and absolutely breathtaking views. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hosts were awesome to work with, responsive and helpful. Looking forward to hopefully returning!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was cozy and we felt very at home. Comfy beds, this home has everything and more. Lots of games, activities, the hot tub was an added bonus. Beautiful neighborhood. It was a perfect week get away! We will be back!!!

Our stay in this cute little cabin was very enjoyable. It is clean and cozy. the bed was very comfortable. It has everything required for some rest and relaxation. Even our dogs approved. 🐾

Ben made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend and ensured we were stocked with snacks and water. The place was amazing very spacious and quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to see the city or stay in for a peaceful weekend.

Enjoyed my stay! It was very cozy with everything you need! The hot tub was amazing along with access to the kayaks to enjoy on the lake!! Courtney responded very quickly to any questions, this place is definitely worth the stay!

Great place to stay. Very neat and cozy. Lots of plates, bowls, and glasses. We barely did dishes all week! Bed was very comfy. Appreciated the night lights and motion activated night lights. Lana's cookies were great! We got to meet Jack and he took us for a ride in the area--he even let our dog come. Had a wonderful, relaxing week.

The home was everything we need for our small gathering.

We started our stay with a little hiccup. But that was made right in a matter of minutes thanks to Benjamin’s quick and kind response. The house was clean and had ample linens and extra blankets. The coffee maker was a huge relief to see! I was able to prepare our meals with the pots, pans and utensils provided with ease. We are planning a stay in the summer and will be looking for availability here before we try to book anywhere else. The campground was very quiet and easy to access. Definitely a good value for the space my family had to stretch out.

Jessica and Pamela's place was exactly as described - but better. There was nothing that felt like a 'second place.' It's very clean. The furniture is nice and comfy. The appliances, dishes, cookware, flatware are top-rate. A large Kerig coffeemaker with either a pot or pod as options (filters and pods are provided - I always wonder). The outdoor furniture is great. Kayaks and a paddle boat are available. We brought a small fishing boat, the lake is clean and quiet - there is a loon's nesting area! It's very peaceful, so many birds to be heard. Jessica and Pamela were very responsive. We had a bit of a hic-up (our fault) as we got situated and the communication was immediate. I would HIGHLY recommend their place and hope to be back. PS: the Blue Heron restaurant in Cadillac was excellent (closes at 2pm).

Peaceful lake vacation with lots to do on the water. Our family loved the kayaks, paddle boards, rowboat, and large mat to play in the water. Everything was there to simply enjoy a serene family vacation on the lake. My son brought his fishing poles and they went out fishing in the boat and kayak and played all the time on the lake. We also enjoyed having my family over who we were in town to visit, and all sit at the the water’s edge in the numerous comfortable chairs provided, just catching up. Everything was perfect for enjoying one another’s company. The house itself is spacious and accommodating for a large family. Comfortable beds, plenty of area to hang out and be cozy while watching a movie, or separate the kids off from those who stay up a little later in the adjoining kitchen area. A perfect place! Book now absolutely.

We had a peaceful weekend enjoying the lake. The kids especially liked the paddleboat. We had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

Perfect for a fishermans getaway. A few minutes drive from multiple boat launches for Houghton lake. Tons of good restaurants also within a few minutes away. Family fare right around the corner for those that need to do some shopping for forgotten essentials, or those who want to pick up food to cook for themselves. The place was very clean, and comfortable environment. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. 10/10 would book again!

Timothy was an excellent host. He was very responsive to my initial questions as someone who is newer to renting an AirBnB and was quick to help when I called about an issue with one of the smoke alarms on arrival (extremely minor, just a faulty battery, but I wanted to make sure to ask before deactivating it). Overall a nice place to stay, I would definitely return in the future!

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

Benjamin was so helpful! We had a little trouble with the pool, but he was very kind and took care of it right away. The place was spotless! We relaxed and enjoyed the peace and quiet! I would definitely go there again. Thank you for being such a great host!

My family & I loved it . Everyone was content just staying at the cottage . Lol but we did check out A couple of the recommendations & they were very nice !! Great stay will definitely book again !!

We had a great time with family, 4 couples. The house was clean and very comfortable. The beds were cozy. Beautiful, private space right on the trails. Andreia was friendly. Very easy to check in and out. Highly recommend.
