100-year-old dormitory guest house toco.

super nice for a 4 night stay in Tokyo! it’s close to two train stations so it’s easy to get to from the airport and then get anywhere else, but for someone who likes to walk a lot (like me), it’s in good proximity to Asakusa and Akihabara which is great! The kitchen/common area is a bit small but very cozy, and the dorm rooms are bunk beds that are also very comfortable. The only thing I’d say is that it can get a bit noisy if people are walking around/talking at night, but it is a 120ish year old building so that’s to be expected. The hosts are really friendly and did a great job explaining the place and were happy to help with any questions :) and you get one free drink at the bar attached to it every night! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful place to stay. Very large and relatively new. Floor, bathroom very clean (cleaner than average in Japan). Small highlight: there is a small temple right in the garden!

I stayed for 4 nights in a private room. What was good It was a house in a back alley that was hard to find, but the assistant host waited outside. An environment where you can cook for yourself A large parking lot, which is rare near the city center Clean water areas When I talked about the problem that occurred here, they handled it politely. · Moderate communication Plenty of amenities Points to note There is no Wi-Fi connection near the kitchen. (You can connect comfortably in the bedroom.) It is a house on a back street, but there is a fair amount of car traffic both early in the morning and late at night, so be careful if you want to focus on sleep⚠️ Based on the above, this is a house that I can recommend to all guests. I thought it was suitable for sightseeing in the surrounding area.

"WabiSabi" house Room Garden/Skytree/Asakusa

Clean, comfortable, cosy tatami room in a restored traditional Japanese home. Located in a quiet, very local suburb. Tetsuya and Kayo are great hosts. The walls are thin but this is not uncommon and should be expected for a traditional house, and Tetsuya thoughtfully provides ear plugs. Highly recommend
