Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hermanville-sur-Mer

I was visiting Normandy for the fourth time to visit my uncle and godfather's grave a few miles away at Douvre la Delivrande and the British Normandy memorial along the coast at Ver-sur-mer. It was a 500m walk to the memorials and the beach at Hermanville-sur-mer and we also visited Lion-sur-mer about 1500m in a westerly direction along the beach

Excellent location for the D Day beaches or just for a beach holiday in Langrune. The house is quirky and may not suit everyone because of steep stairs and the layout, but it worked fine for the four adults in our party. The baker and butcher in the village are brilliant and the general store and greengrocers are more than adequate. Cathy and Nicholas were very heloful with recommendations of places to eat. We had a wonderful holiday as a result.

La Petite Maison was a perfect choice for a short stay, for two people, near the Normandy beaches. There is a very comfortable bed. The kitchen area is small, but had everything we needed. The fridge was very efficient, even during such hot weather. We made much use of the delightful outside space, enjoying breakfast and apéros sat in the sun. We spent three lovely days in Lion-sur-Mer, and wouldn't hesitate to return to this property. Thank you Marie-Françoise.

Le logement est cosy et très confortable à seulement 10 minutes à pied de la plage et l’extérieur est un vrai plus. Nous avons apprécié la petite attention que Fanny et Julien ont eu à notre arrivée. Nous recommandons vivement.

Delphine est très sympathique, réactive et flexible. Son chalet, indépendant, moderne et bien équipé, agrémenté d’une belle terrasse et d’un beau jardin est exceptionnel car bien situé, doublement : d’un côté, un accès privé et clos et de l’autre côté, l’accès à tous les agréments d’un camping, en face de l’autre côté de la rue. De plus, il a une quadruple exposition avec des fenêtres partout. On s’y sent tout de suite chez soi. Notons que Delphine est exigeante par rapport au soin qu’il faut apporter à son logement et à ses équipements. Mais cela ne nous a posé aucun problème car nous sommes nous-mêmes très soigneux et respectueux. Bref, nous avons passé un super séjour, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of space, well equipped, very comfortable beds and a perfect location! We walked to the Sword Beach Memorial Service early on the anniversary. Our visit to the local British Military Cemetery (again we walked) was very moving. Ideal for getting out and about and we visited numerous historical places; Caen, Bayeux, Omaha Beach, Pégasus Bridge - it was great and so nice to go back to a comfortable home and share the evening. We ought to add that the beach, which is on the doorstep, is beautiful and sandy, only one of us was brave enough to go in the sea though 😁. We would recommend to anyone looking for a D-Day beaches trip.

Logement confortable avec une vue mer très agréable, nous avons passé un petit séjour très sympathique avec tout à disposition à pieds aux alentours, boulangerie, poissonnerie, restaurants etc.... Nous reviendrons sûrement ☺️

We visited for the 81st D-Day celebrations. Perfectly placed for anyone visiting Sword Beach, Pegasus Bridge, Merville Battery, Hillman and Caen. Stephanie was extremely helpful and let us know about several local events. The clean modern accommodation was perfect for a short or longer stay and there were as many leaflets and guides that were provided that would put many Tourist Information offices to shame! All in all I would highly recommend the accommodation. Information Information

Mon mari et moi venons de passer deux délicieuses semaines chez Miguel et Karine. L'appartement est très fonctionnel et chaleureux, et d'une propreté exemplaire. Ce sont des hôtes très attentionnés et vraiment soucieux de rendre leur joli logement le plus hospitalier possible. Rien ne manque : il y a même quelques livres et jeux d'intérieur et d'extérieur très bien choisis ! L'emplacement avec vue sur mer est vraiment très agréable : très calme et dans une jolie résidence. Impossible de s'ennuyer même si on veut oublier la voiture : à quelques pas à peine, se trouvent le club nautique et la magnifique promenade le long de la plage (pour piéton et vélo) aet qui va des villégiatures de Lion sur Mer au centre de Ouistreham avec port maritime et différents musées ... et tout près : un restaurant très bien et une petite buvette de plage pour glaces et crêpes : très sympa ! C'était une belle découverte et nous espérons revenir !

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely apartment. We chose it because of the location, it's about 75 meters from our favourite restaurant and the same distance to the beach. It was lovely and clean, well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We hope to return next year.

We had an incredible stay at this beachfront Airbnb! The location is absolutely unbeatable — you literally open the back gate and step right onto the sand. It was such a treat to wake up and be at the beach within seconds. The house itself was spotless and really well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the bathroom was stocked with all the essentials. The kids loved the dedicated room and play area — it made the whole stay even more relaxing for us. It’s hard to find a place that offers this kind of location and comfort at such great value. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

J'étais à Caen pour un congrès donc je n'ai pas beaucoup profité du logement ni du beau petit jardin, mais tout a fonctionné parfaitement. Guillaume, que j'ai rencontré, est un super hôte!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel, l’appartement était impeccable, la résidence sécurisée et à deux pas de la plage et de restaurants ; Olivier a été très attentionné et nous a conseillé des activités à Villers que nous avons vraiment apprécié. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le logement de Julie. Il est très calme, très propre et bien situé en bord de mer. Nous avons eu des échanges très sympathiques avec Julie qui répond très rapidement. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement.

Séjour chez Olivier parfait. La mer à deux pas et visite des plages du débarquement se fait très bien. Il faut manger une pizza chez Amanti au bout de la rue, meilleure pizza ever, faites une réservation. Resto sur le bord de la mer La Fabrique à sasse également. Surtout à éviter car attrape touristes l’activité du D-Day, loin, cher et vraiment plate. Nous étions tellement bien à l’appart avec terrasse que nous avons décidé de se reposer une journée à la plage plutôt que d’aller à Caen. Épicerie Contact à pied avec des viandes toutes prêtes et délicieuses. Pour visiter la Normandie, il faut rester chez Olivier.

Marie jo est bienveillante et a été vraiment arrangeante. Logement conforme à la description, très fonctionnel, agencé avec beaucoup de goût et très bien équipé. La cave pour y déposer les vélos est un vrai plus. Très bien placé tant de la mer que du centre ville. Je recommande ce logement et n'hésiterai pas à y revenir.
