Beachfront vacation rentals in Hermanus

We had a wonderful stay at Akwa house. There are plenty of spaces for the kids to relax and have fun while the adults could sit in the lounge overlooking the beautiful views. We loved the quiet location and family-friendly feel of the street. The kitchen was well stocked and we slept very comfortably in all the rooms. I would definitely recommend Akwa house to anyone looking for a great home right close to the beach.

The perfect spot for a getaway with a big group of friends. The house had everything we needed and the location is great. Would definitely recommend. Just take note: Bedroom 5 and 6 are not separate rooms as indicated above but both the bunk beds and the sleeper couch are in one open-plan space.

5 Stars. Highly recommended! We had an incredible stay in Voëlklip, Hermanus. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic, with the mountains as a backdrop and the soothing sound of the ocean always present. It’s a perfect location for walking to the beach with the doggo's or to go for a beach activity like playing beach cricket. The home itself is ideal for families and friends who love spending time together. The kitchen and entertainment area are open and cozy, making it a joy to cook, chat, and relax. The pool table added loads of fun and really made the evenings memorable. All in all, a fantastic destination and highly recommended for anyone looking for a coastal escape with comfort, space, and natural beauty.

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

We had a wonderful stay at Leatitia’s place. Leatitia welcomed us warmly and we felt extremely relaxed and comfortable during our stay. The location is top class…walking distance to all the beaches within the Voelklip area. Long lazy afternoons enjoying the garden and Braai area. The snooker table was a wonderful fun addition. Amazing house with great views over the ocean. Located within a stonethrow of the beach with easy access to all Hermanus has to offer. Fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of crashing waves. Has every amenity you could need to make your stay comfortable and our dogs absolutely loved it too !

Betty’s bay is such a lovely place and staying at Tobie’s made it even better. The views are amazing. We arrived at night and discovered it in the morning which makes it so special. This is a very quiet place, you will fall asleep with the sound of the ocean and wake up with the birds. Dawie has a lot of great recommandations, including nice walks to the beach, coffee, restaurants, etc… The house has everything you need, but the bathrooms will need a little makeover in the near future. My friends and I would definitely love to come back.

A great place to stay and a great location. Lovely walks along the cliff top, accessible to restaurants and town. The accommodation was spotless and had all we needed for our two night stay. We hope to return!

Our family of 5 spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house over new years. The house is in a great position in Voelklip - it is very secure and well kitted out. Lovely to sit outside in the shaded garden in the evenings and kids loved the pool. Great hosts and easy check-in and check-out. We will be back!

Chane was the host. She was absolutely great from beginning to end. The place was beautiful and spacious and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the estate was a pleasure.

Di's place was ideal for a family get-together. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town, with spectacular cliff walks in either direction. The house is well kitted out with everything you could need, and is in easy walking distance of all the restaurants, shops, galleries etc. We had a wonderful few days in Hermanus. Thanks very much.

We unfortunately only had one night at Elzanne’s property and wished we could have stayed much longer! Beautiful surroundings, the view is breathtaking and the interior of the property is stunning with everything you need thoughtfully catered for. We would highly recommend it to anyone.

The house has a perfect concept, is fully equipped and is beautifully located just in front of the open sea. The information before arriving is very complete and the response to questions immediate. Would love to come back for longer and can definitely recommend it! Frederic

A very peaceful and calm environment that I would recommend for some who would like to spend sometime alone ,speaking of Lydia she gave us a good reception thumps up to her ,keep up the good work

The apartment has a stunning view of the ocean. It was great to be able to hear the waves crashing over the rocks. Apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. There was an issue with the shower head which was resolved very quickly. There is lots to do in the area and some great restaurants.

Great location close to stunning beaches and wonderful walking trails. House was large and great for a group with all kitchen amenities. Particularly loved the indoor BBQ room which we used a lot during our stay.

Very nice apartment with stunning views!! Everything is as advertised and more! The inverter a nice touch and helped us with a prolonged power outage. The only small niggle is to maybe have a torch or flashlight handy for cases of prolonged power outages. Even the inverter ran out and we only had power back by 19:00, after dark. The load shedding bulbs do help but a torch or light will make life much easier. Otherwise an excellent place and we enjoyed ourselves!

What a beautiful home for 2 weeks for us! Great home for our family, it’s right on the beach (well a 1 minute walk) The views are spectacular and house is huge. There are two living rooms which is perfect for having kids with you. If you do have kids there aren’t any amenities- so bring everything you need. Also prepare to do a tidy up of all the little trinkets if you have toddlers. We traveled with our 1 and 3 yr old so they are crazy touchers. Also note there are no fans so it can be hot in summer- but open the windows for a breeze and it’s fine. They kindly provided one fan for us during our stay at it was peak summer and the back room was too warm for our 1yr old for her nap. Beds were comfy and plenty of pillows and throws to keep u warm on chilly mornings and evenings. Hosts were great! Oh the braais wow For us it was the best choice and highly recommend!!!

The cottage was very clean and as described. Leatitia was very responsive and helpful. Great location - would definitely recommend.

We spent 5 wonderful days at Andrew's place and enjoyed every moment! From the breathtaking views and the soothing sound of waves each morning to curling up with a book by the fireplace while it rained — it was pure bliss. This peaceful, beautiful spot felt just like home. A perfect mix of comfort and coastal charm. Highly recommended

It is a great place with lots of kitchen equipment. Plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax with a good view of the sea. The bedrooms are comfortable and are both en-suite. The house is close to the cliff path that runs nexf to the sea all the way to down to the town centre. The path also leads to a number of swimming beaches within a 5 minute walk.

Absolutely beautiful studio in a fantastic location. Super cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip to Hermanus. Host Jeanne was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Jeanne, it was perfect!

The house is very comfortably laid out and furnished. It feels like new, and is crisp and clean. The town is a quiet beach holiday town with no shopping areas. Alison gave us detailed information about this, as well as where to get groceries and the preferred route to get to the house.
