Luxurious eco-stay in rolling Devon hills

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful time at Elizabeth’s cottage – truly an oasis to relax and soak in Devon’s beautiful nature. The space is neat, clean, and spacious, yet still incredibly cosy and inviting. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed – especially with the delicious homemade flapjacks and thoughtful selection of local products waiting for us. Everything is so well thought through – from the comfortable bed that guarantees a great night's sleep to the well-equipped kitchen. We loved spending slow mornings enjoying coffee on the balcony, listening to the birds, and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Elizabeth is a fantastic host – friendly, attentive, and full of great local tips. It’s clear how much love and care she puts into the cottage, which really feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect – peaceful and remote enough to fully unwind. We’re already dreaming about coming back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a restful, charming stay in Devon!

"Potting Shed", Dalwood, Near Axminster

SteveRating, 5 stars2 days ago
As a base to explore the Jurassic coast it’s a superb location, allowing for peaceful evenings after a tiring day out. Enjoy a drink by a scenic pond in a very well managed garden as the sun sets was right up our street. The kitchen is fully equipped for 2 guests and the twin beds combined into one large bed allows for a perfect nights sleep. The bathroom is compact but fully functional with a decent sized shower. Ample parking outside the property. The village pub is an historic building with some of it dating back to the 12th century and the food is excellent. There are plenty of restaurants / pubs in the area as well as nature reserves, woodland walks and coastal treats, the water is blue and the beaches vary between stoney to Sandy. Be prepared to pay for parking everywhere with the price increased between April and September. The Seaton Tramway was fun and a drive down to Labrador Bay allowed us to watch Dolphins and the rare Cirl Bunting. The is too much to do.

Charming 2 bed self-contained cottage with Patio

We had a lovely stay at Susan's place. The property was beautifully furnished and had a very calming aura. Directions to the property were clear and the village itself is really lovely and peaceful. The view from the bathroom in the morning was stunning! The place was really clean - even though this is a dog friendly property (and we didn't bring any) Susan clearly took care to ensure the place was spotless and free from hair. We'd definitely stay again.

Charming thatched cottage

Don’t think twice about staying at Jess’ cottage. We had a fabulous 2 night stay for a birthday getaway, we were welcomed with birthday treats! Thank you Jess! My two boys didn’t want to leave, a beautiful outside space for them to run with swings and lots to occupy them inside (Lego, DVDs & a train set) Short drives to popular beaches such as Lyme Regis. It’s very clean, immaculate beds. It felt like home! We cannot wait to return.

Gorgeous Secluded Jurassic Coast Getaway nr Lyme

AustinRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Richard is a superb host, warm, friendly and helpful. His communication was amazing and created a full online web page dedicated to everything we could possible need to know as well as a pamphlet in the gorgeous accomodation. We met him and Squeeky the cat the morning after we checked in and he let us know where he’d stashed the duckling food so me and my youngest could go and feed them down on the lake. He gave great recommendations on local beaches and where Dolphins had been spotted that day. We have 2 Autistic sons and he left us to our privacy and space but I knew that if I needed anything at all he’d have been super helpful and responsive. The loft and surroundings are gorgeous, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Thank you so much Richard, I hope to see you again in the future!
