Chalet Bärenegg is wonderfully embedded in the landscape of the Bernese lakes and mountains. Inside it is small with little storage space, but it has pretty niches to linger outside: two seats with a grill, outdoor sauna and for the little ones a lawn, sandbox and slide. The train station (in the center of Meiringen) is just a 10-minute walk away from our home. There are several grocery stores and multiple restaurants and bars, which you can comfortably walk to. The Haslital offers many tourist attractions that you can reach by foot, car, or public transport.

The Chalet "Wasserfallhüsli" is centrally located in Lauterbrunnen and probably offers the most spectacular view in all of Lauterbrunnen. From the balcony you have a breathtaking view of the gigantic and world famous Staubbach Falls. In addition to the Staubbach Falls, depending on the weather, another five waterfalls can be seen. The incredible panorama is rounded off by the church directly in front of the Staubbach Falls.
