Nice, new and private. A fully equipped ground floor apartment in a 150 years old riverside house. It has everything to make your stay comfortable. Nice living with view on the Spaarne river, open kitchen, lovely boxspring bed and a large bathroom with a rain shower. It's a 15 minutes walk along the river to the city centre, and you can do it in 5 minutes by bikes we provide. 20 min to Amsterdam by bus or train, 20 min to the beach bus/train, bike 30 min. It is 40 minutes from the airport.
“We have been to Haarlem a number of times and this was the nicest apartment we’ve stayed at so far. Hans and Henne have taken great care to provide their guests with all the essentials. Their place gets all the morning sun with a nice view of the river Spaarne. The apartment is very quiet and has a private little terrace at the back. The kitchen contains everything you need and the bathroom is spacious with a very effective shower unit. Everything was very clean and well kept. Buses that take you to Amsterdam and the seaside stop around the corner and a fifteen minute walk takes you to the heart of the city. Hans welcomed us in person, showed us around the apartment and gave us some tips on where to eat out locally, etc. We will definitely come back.”
Looking for a special place to stay? Welcome aboard! Our place has floor heating so even in the winter months it is great on board! Centrally located on the Schalkwijkerstraat, where the river Spaarne makes its entrance in the city center of Haarlem, between the Rustenburgerbrug and the Langebrug. Enjoy the rich history, beautiful monuments and the friendly atmosphere of Haarlem. Also for a visit to Amsterdam or the North Sea Beach BB40 Haarlem is the perfect place to stay!
“I expected the room to be a little bigger from the photo's but it wasn't much of problem. The smallness of it added to the cozyness of the place and there was still plenty of space to move around. The location is great, the sitting area outside is lovely with an amazing view. Only regret was the weather. It didn't really permit us from sitting outside during our stay. Overal the place was very clean, tidy. Communication with owners was quick and pleasant. I had a pleasant arrival and felt at ease. Thanks again for letting us stay <3”
Recently renovated apartment in the centre of Haarlem. Located in the most central place of the old town 'Haarlem'. Surrounded by shops, museums and nice restaurants and bars! Getting to Amsterdam is really easy and will take about 15 minutes. Trains to Amsterdam will leave every 10 minutes and on friday and saturday night there are also night trains.
“The three of us (2 adults and a baby) enjoyed a fantastic stay. What a beautiful space and close to the city. We were received at the agreed time and everything was shown for a while. We had a nice chat and then we walked into the city which is very close. You walk through such a beautiful street to the house. They have a folder with a number of hotspots. Fine kitchen for cooking. Fridge with freezer compartment. Neat bathroom, with a good shower. Everything was just perfect! Even the camp bed had an extra mattress and was neatly made up. We really liked that, because it meant we didn't have to bring our own bed.”
