Rade belongs to the joint municipality of Neu Wulmstorf in the district of Harburg. Rade has its own highway exit and access, making the highway exit easy to find even for those unfamiliar with the area. Jogging and walking start right at the front door on the Trave hiking trail. Downtown is around the corner.
