Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Great Australian Bight

What a beautiful house! We had five adults and a dog in our group and there were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge areas. The area is beautiful and very private. There are so many beautiful personal touches throughout the house that made the stay feel extra special. We loved this house - probably my fave air bnb ever - and will definately look to stay again.

The house was incredible - exactly as described. 360 views of vineyards, a beautiful yard with fenced pool that was perfect for our young boys to run around and ride bikes, and very comfortable beds. We did a big cook up one night and the kitchen was well equipped. A large indoor dining table and outdoor dining table, and a large family area with big screen tv and lovely warming fireplace. Aircon throughout. On a cold May night it was very cozy! I would highly recommend this property, we were 7 adults and 2 kids and slept here very comfortably.

An absolutely stunning property, a view that is breathtaking every minute for sunrise, sunset, when all the local wildlife comes to visit and everything in between, an incredibly presented home with all the comforts you need and then some ! Excellent communication, easy access, we had a wonderful experience and stay highly highly highly recommend for your KI experience

What an outstanding place! The view was stunning, literally on the beach. We had a wonderful stay, feeling very comfortable with everything we needed close to hand. Couldn't recommend it higher for people looking for a quiet, relaxing escape from the world. Lots of amazing memories made and will definitely be returning for longer next time

Beautiful home, extremely well set up for guests, lovely rural views with some cute alpacas and sheep just over the fence. My 13 year old daughter and I stayed for a week of horse riding instruction nearby and felt so happy to be staying here in this gorgeous spot! We loved the kitchen and laundry facilities, and huge plus for the amazing hamper of breakfast goodies on arrival, as we had not been to the shops yet and has a lovely breakfast of bacon & eggs on first morning. Beds and pillows nice and comfy, and great amount of space in all the bedrooms and living spaces. Convenient to Meadows town with bakery, pub and cafes, and not too far from a supermarket at Mt Barker. We had a very comfortable stay, and would love to come again!

We had a great weekend at Jane's lovely cottage. Checkin was a breeze as we just walked in and the key was waiting for us on the kitchen bench. The interior was well designed and spacious with everything we needed for a quiet getaway. The cottage was just a short drive to Stirling and Hahndorf where we strolled through shops and tried their excellent restaurants under the autumn foliage. All in all, we felt like we have just spent a weekend in a friend's house.

LOVED this home! We felt right at home - absolutely beautiful, perfect combination of modern extension and amenities with classic stone cottage all in a private setting but super close to main road. And when we were running late on leaving, Kath was super understanding. We would 💯 stay here again and felt sad leaving. Thank you Kath!

I had the most beautiful and relaxing stay at Tess’s. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning ocean views. Absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The space itself is immaculate and thoughtfully styled, with a warm and calming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. What really sets this place apart are the small touches Tess includes that make your stay feel extra special. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to return!

This is a great unit clean and comfortable . Super comfy beds with electric blankets and crisp linen!. The air fryer was an added bonus ! Lovely bbq area and garden setting . Quiet location and close to historic York St Thank you Catherine we will stay again soon

We had an amazing stay and the accommodation was exactly what we needed. We were provided everything we need for our four day stay. Melanie is very responsive and very helpful.

Great location for an Airbnb, right by the sea front -lots of places to eat nearby and easy access to the tram (just use your debit card to tag on when boarding the tram -super easy for us visiting from WA) Everything felt very safe, which was great for us with 3 small kids. Playground & Beach House for kids entertainment within 5-10 min walk. Doughballs restaurant great for kids too! We found Julie’s apartment to be very clean, had everything we needed and more! Thanks for a great stay :)

It was really heartwarming to know that Steve was waiting for us to make sure we were safe and checked in properly since we arrived late. The unit was really cozy and clean, it was near the beach and also a grocery store. It was really a great stay and would highly recommend to anyone who is considering.

What a lovely spot! So cosy, so clean, everything you need, great balcony (felt very paris!), SUCH good central location walkable to CBD / Botanic Gardens etcs..but you don't feel like you're that central when you're cosied up in your little nest! All the info is so carefully and thoughtfully provided so you know exactly what to do and where to go.. maybe just read it first! We were a bit flappy trying to find the car park upon arrival but.. ya know.. I didn't read the info Wren kindly sent WAY in advance. For parents with many bags / prams, there isn't a lift, but our two year old managed the stairs well and actually enjoyed going up and down. Would definitely stay again, Thanks Wren!

Jeremy's beautiful home was welcoming and cosy and we looked forward to getting back there after spending the day exploring Glenelg. We loved how everything was within walking distance which made traveling with children easy with a nearby playground, beach house, Mosely square and jetty road all within walking distance from the apartment. Jeremy's little thoughtful touches to the apartment for our stay were very much appreciated such as the bottle of Shiraz and chocolate on arrival and the beautiful complimentary body wash/shampoo which was all locally sourced. I had such a wonderful time with my little family and can't wait to visit again! (Maybe when the weather is warmer 😂) Thankyou Jeremy!

Deb’s place was absolutely amazing! Every thoughtful detail was taken care of, and we truly wanted for nothing during our stay. It’s no surprise that her property ranks in the top 1% of Airbnb listings, it certainly deserves the accolade. From the seamless check-in process to the warm welcome of freshly baked bread, a bottle of wine, and delicious chocolates on arrival, everything was perfect. The space itself was beautifully presented, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable, with every amenity you could hope for thoughtfully provided. Deb’s attention to detail and genuine care for her guests really shines through. We felt completely at home and incredibly well looked after. We would absolutely return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this exceptional property to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay.

Natalie's place was really gorgeous and exactly as described. My best friend and I had a lovely time there and would return again! We were also provided breakfast and some snacks which was really thoughtful and a nice touch!

Tastefully renovated and clean with everything you need for your stay, long or short. Surprisingly spacious too!

Michelle's place is perfect for 2 people. has everything you need including ample towels. the bed is comfy albeit small. everything about the apartment is tastefully decorated and comfortable. the windows are up high on the wall and you can't see out of them but it was ok as we were only there for 4 days and spent our time out of the unit.

This was the second time that we have stayed at M & Ms. They are wonderful hosts, the location is excellent for walking around or catching buses and being an apartment, there is a lot of space to spread out. We highly recommend the apartment and the excellent hosts.

Apartment was perfectly located in leafy Hindmarsh Square—quiet, safe, and just steps from Rundle Mall. Great pub and restaurant right downstairs. Super convenient and ideal for a city stay. The location felt incredibly safe, even at night, and it was always easy to pop out for a bite to eat or just enjoy a walk through the square. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a great base for exploring Adelaide. I’d definitely stay here again, highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, or anyone wanting to experience the best of the city while enjoying a peaceful, green setting!

We had a fantastic stay at this North Adelaide apartment. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location on Melbourne Street couldn’t have been better, with fantastic restaurants and cafes right on our doorstep, making it so easy to enjoy the area. Linda was an outstanding host. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Check-in instructions were incredibly clear and easy to follow, and any questions we had were answered quickly and helpfully. It really made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, and other essentials was very much appreciated, and the chocolates were such a thoughtful touch. Having access to the secure, gated car park was also invaluable, giving us complete peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Adelaide.

Giovanna is a wonderful host who has opened up her home for others. It is located in a quiet part of North Adelaide yet only a few minutes walk from the restaurants, cafes and pubs of O’Connell St. the apartment is a spacious, very well appointed and super comfortable and warm. Giovanna was on the other side of the world, yet was always very quick to respond to any queries. It was a lovely stay and I look forward to returning.
