The Stables

Situated in Rowland Flat on a three-acre property, the stone cottage was the original tack and feed rooms for Mr Rowland's stables. Separated by a courtyard the stables are now the home of the host. The cottage is comprised of a truly delightful bedroom with an antique double bed with stunning garden views; comfortable lounge room with TV/DVD, CD/radio, books and games; light and open equipped kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, large electric frying pan and breakfast bar overlooking gardens through french windows (provisions for continental breakfast); the bathroom has both separate shower and claw foot slipper bath, toilet and vanity. R/c air-conditioning/heating and ceiling fans throughout. Access from the cottage to your own verandah with garden spilling over…serenity…the perfect spot for breakfast, coffee or bottle of local wine. Enjoy walks through our vineyard and paddocks and come across surprises such as our free-range chooks, wood fire pizza oven, an array of interesting seating and more. Incredible views across the valley floor to the imposing ranges or, bordering our property, the beguiling North Para River (in winter a roaring, cascading joy to behold or in summer the rock based riverbed allows access to caves, a geologists delight) and the birdlife is bountiful. Use of the swimming pool is available in the warmer months.

Abbivale farm cottage is a lovely tranquil retreat situated 18kms out of Denmark along the Scotsdale Tourist drive. Our place is suitable for discerning adults (up to 4 people). Children are welcome but due to unfenced dams, it is may not be suitable for younger children (under 6). Relax in peaceful surroundings amongst the karris & the gum trees. Blue wrens & kangaroos are plentiful & often emus! - perfect surroundings to relax & unwind. Close by to vineyards,walks & other tourist attractions.

The Grain Store is a boutique studio style unit located on the western end of the Kangaroo Island Brewery production shed. A one bedroom studio with a queen bed, kitchenette, and a weber q on the deck. We are completely off-grid! A comfy sofa bed and heater for those cold nights. Great panoramic views of Nepean Bay and MacGillivray Hills. Walk to the KIB cellar door in 30 seconds! There is a brand new kitchen and a dining area, all within a 5 minute walk of Main Street with its abundance of restaurants and cafes. Our Hidden View has an amazing view of the local farm land and Torndirrup National park. Local birds love to join our guests on the balcony for a feed. The Accommodation is not big but practical. There is 1 room with 1 single bed and 1 room with 1 queen bed. The living area is combine with an open kitchen/dining room opening to the decking which has a mini Weber, a table& chairs. This is under roof. 2 Radiators are provided in winter as well as electric blankets. NO PETS ALLOWED.
