Fantastic location, close to downtown but the loudest noise besides a little thunder were the waves hitting the beach. Definitely booking again.

Perfect place for our large group of kids. Communication with owner was easy and punctual. I would highly recommend this place.

This house is great for a group. The kitchen was fully stocked and main space was perfect for gathering. The bedrooms were a good size and layout of the house was great for our family. Walking distance to a small beach and on a frequently used sidewalk/path for running/walks. Overall, our stay was fantastic and we made a lot of great memories.

Amanda had great response time on communication I was very impressed at how fast she would respond to any question or comment I had about the place. This place fit all our needs for the week so that was good! Clean and pleasant place to stay.

This is our second stay at the cottage and the first stay we rated it a 5 star and we would rate higher this time if we could . We had a baby shower for our daughter and the cottage was PERFECT .

We loved our stay at the cute cabin! It was just as pictured, was very clean, & had everything we could have needed. When we checked in, there were fresh eggs & local hard cider in the fridge. There were also plenty of movies, games, books, & kids toys stocked around the cabin. The outdoor amenities made this a super fun stay! There is a bar/seating area, a kids playhouse, a lake with a paddleboat and life vests, a ping pong table, a volleyball net, & even a hiking trail! The trail was very fun to explore, & we saw turkeys & a deer on the path. They also have chickens & a very friendly cat on the property. Anne was very accommodating. She provided us with bikes & helmets & offered us a later check-out time. She gave very clear instructions on how to find the property. We met her in-person (she lives on the property) & she was super friendly. The cabin is walking distance from downtown Douglas, a few restaurants, a grocery store, the Dunes Resort, & the Root Beer Barrel.

We loved staying at Ruth’s Retreat and had a wonderful time reconnecting with family in the area. Christina is a fantastic host and will love to stay there again. Some local family were familiar with the property (my aunts sister lived there in the 80s and my cousin babysat the family there) and they loved getting a chance to see how the house looks now and we all thought it’s very comfortable and welcoming!

First I'd like to say the photos don't fully capture the little details that make the house feel like a home. I was there with my family for 6 nights, and most of the time was spent outside on the paddle boards, or kayaks, or fishing - but we did have a rainy day where we played ping pong, fuse ball, and karaoke. A rainy day at the lake is always better than a sunny day at home. The sitting area outside near the firepit (right beside the water) was also great - we spent almost every evening there by the fire. Overall, the entire experience was fantastic. Jennifer is also a great host. She made sure we had all the information we needed upon arrival and check out, and was very quick to respond if the occasional question came up. We will be staying there again, and I definitely recommend this home for those looking for a nice vacation home.

Communication was seamless from start to finish, and Jacob went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The neighborhood was conveniently located for our job site and when we had to extend he did everything to accommodated to our needs! Our guys would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for the great hospitality!

This was a perfect match for a bachelorette weekend! The home was cute, cozy, clean, and the perfect space to relax and hang with friends. I highly recommend this space for those looking for a more relaxed, peaceful getaway!

This cozy cabin is in a perfect location, just a short drive from so many great spots. Despite being close to the owners’ house, I felt like I had complete privacy, especially with the deck facing the woods and the fire pit area all to ourselves. The space is small but thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, making it a perfect retreat for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway.

I can honestly say I was very comfortable in Jon’s home and so was my family. It was very clean and his house look like the pictures. I rented this Airbnb because I am a Ferris State graduate and I had to come down here for my ceremony . The hotels were extremely too high so I decided to get an Airbnb with my family instead of getting multiple hotel rooms and my family enjoyed being there as well. I would go there again most definitely l. Everything looks exactly like the pictures and it was really clean and organized. They had everything there far as in the cooking utensils. I did for my family, but overall the visit was very good and I enjoyed myself.

Absolutely Perfect Lakefront Getaway! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most incredible stay at this lakefront Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views — the sparkling water just steps from the back door created the most peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every comfort we could have asked for. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, and the beds were super comfortable. Waking up to sunrise over the lake each morning was truly magical. One of the highlights was the private dock, where we spent hours kayaking, fishing, and just soaking up the sun. Evenings around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and watching the stars, made for some unforgettable memories. Tina was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. You can tell she genuinely cares about their guests' experience. The cabin was just as described, and it fit our needs perfectly. It is listed as a fishing cabin and we used the provided canoe and fished. My wife and I caught 41 bass between the two of us. When we weren’t fishing, we were relaxing under the giant willow tree on the edge of the lake. The view was truly amazing. We saw an eagle, many osprey, many great blue herons, a pair of swans with a baby, and even a muskrat swam by. Our stay was fantastic. Thank you, Aaron.

This was a wonderful stay for us. We had a great time, and we will definitely be back. The cabin and river in the backyard was so peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed every minute. Lisa is prompt and quick to respond and provides everything you need to be comfortable.

Exactly as described. Had a comforting older home grandma feel. All the furniture was comfortable. Loved the recliners! Loved the foos ball, fireplace thingy in the basement, deck, outdoor fire pit and the wildlife! Had some frustration with the heating system. Theres a weird mix and match heating system with no written instructions on how to control the heating. There is no air conditioning at all which made for some discomfort on days it reached the 50s. Enjoyed our stay! Home was really clean! Love that bedding and furniture was not white!

This place is super cute! The living room and dining room were spacious enough to fit 6 adults comfortably. The shower stayed hot for all of us to take showers in the morning one right after the other. It's close to Saugatuck and Douglas which are both great communities to visit and there are so many cute shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

Great spot on the lake and fit our group well. The kids loved the basement activities and hot tub.

This place is so pretty. It was very spacious and the surroundings were gorgeous! We did not want to live. We felt like we were home and the beach was only a few minutes away. Zach was very helpful and responsive and very accommodating. The only thing we did not like was that the landscaping people were there twice during our stay. Waking up our baby one morning. We also had an issue w one of the hammocks but did not address this with Zach until after our stay.

Very nice place. Lots of extras in the house, like towels, washcloths, coffee, etc. Willing to work with us to get in earlier, which was greatly appreciated. Beautiful house and beautiful view.

I am in love with Paul's place. The pictures did not do it justice, it was beautiful and so peaceful. Paul was very responsive and very nice. I have never stayed in a place where I wanted so many of the things in that home, in my own home. From the movie room (my favorite spot!), the master bedroom bed, to the main bathroom, everything was AMAZING!! We will be back!

We used the home for an annual ladies only get away, it was relaxing, beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed including a beautiful hot tub, our host was very responsive to messages, I would recommend it to anyone and will consider it again for a relaxing getaway.

Dragan was an amazing host. When a problem occurred he was quick to fix it and make it better! Super responsive and a lovely place!
