Monthly Rentals in Grand Marais

Kim and John’s cabin is cozy and private. After my first night there, I was in love with it! The weather was a bit chilly, but a fire in the wood stove made the cabin toasty warm, and in the mornings it was still quite comfortable indoors. Mornings were perfectly quiet, save for the many birds chirping all around me. My Merlin app is full of bird recordings now. While I was not thrilled about using an outhouse, I have to say it’s the cleanest little outhouse ever, well worth the short tramp through the woods. I would gladly have stayed longer, and hope to be able to stay in the cabin again someday.

We used this as our landing for completing the last 2 sections of the Superior Hiking trail so we were driving NE each day so plenty close to the Canadian border (about 30 minutes) It was convenient being just slightly out of Grand Marais for grocery, liquor, restaurants. It was quiet and there was not any road noise. The property has 2 rentals on it and thankfully the other party was respectful and quiet since that house is bigger with more people. We like that no dogs are allowed because even the best dog owner can't prevent an occasional bark or two.

Great location! If you go during the week the traffic isn’t bad at all, and it’s great that you can just walk across the street to the lake! We loved jumping in the lake and then sitting in the sauna. Huge kitchen, great amenities, and the Kodonce river hike was a special treat!!

The bungalow was perfect with a tiny kitchen, and enough space for my large dog. It was super clean and cute, with dog treats and dog bowls already in the room for my arrival. It is a five minute walk into Grand Marais, and the host gave a nice list of local hikes. There were also some coupons supplied for the local brewery!!
