House vacation rentals in Grand Marais

Kelly’s place made my family’s trip to Thunder Bay a memorable one. I was really impressed with how fully stocked the place was with supplies! We didn’t need anything extra. There were so many games and activities around, we never got bored. The space and size of the place was perfect for hosting a large group. I would highly recommend! The only thing very minor thing I would’ve wished for was the dock have been in the water, as we did a lot of swimming through the weekend. Overall 10/10. Thank you Kelly for an amazing weekend!

This home was a lovely place for my friends and I to spend the weekend w/and indoor sauna downstairs in the walkout basement and an outdoor hot tub. There were games and an assortment of essentials in case you forgot something at home. The host was wonderful and provided an excellent and well-organized introduction to the area. She was very responsive and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. For families or groups with differing bedtimes, it may be important to know that 2 of the 3 bedrooms are in the loft and therefore open to the main living room/dining room/ kitchen sounds. However, there is a secondary living room space another level down with games and a dart board to hang out in without bothering anyone trying to sleep upstairs. The spiral staircase is the only way to get to the upper 2 rooms. However, the other bedroom and all the living spaces are accessible from a regular staircase outside. The home was very peaceful with lots natural light. We'd absolutely stay again!

Great place to stay for any trip in the Duluth area! House was clean and the downstairs games were great.

Had a wonderful cousins weekend here! Was close to town, we were able to explore the city yet return to the home and relax in the hot tub. Hosts were very responsive and home was just as described. Thank you, would definitely stay here again!

Great spot and close to everything. The fenced in yard was great for our active pup and the hot tub was terrific! Beds were comfy!

Great place. Close to porcupine mountains, short drive. Nice neighborhood, people were pleasant. House was big enough for 6 of us. We did not use the basement. Can’t say much about the basement. Overall great place and served us well. Enjoyed the stay.

What a place and what a view! A great time was had by our family of 7 in this amazing place. We had lots of great communication from the host on our stay. It was a place that we shared great meals with the well stocked kitchen and grill, played games and laughed around the amazing north woods dining table, and we were able to get to all the parks and attractions that we wanted with the convenient location on Hwy 61. Thanks so much for a great place to stay...we've already recommended you to a number of friends :)

we had a great stay, there were a few mechanical issues that were solved right away for us. my only real issue was the price was a bit high, especially compared to some nearby rentals, however it is a beautiful place to stay.

Great place and great location! The outside deck was a beautiful place to hang out. Tons of walking paths and easy to get around. Would stay again.

The Mountain Escape was just what our multi generational family needed. There were 8 chairs at the kitchen table and we could all congregate in the kitchen/living room area while at the same time we could retreat to our totally separated private areas for peace and quiet. The children had multiple hide and seek games and wore themselves out traveling up and down the stairs. The video games were a special treat, everyone loved the pool, and we are slept comfortably in warm beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Roomy and very clean, comfortable. The decks were a big plus, as the weather was better than expected. Well-stocked kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Host was readily available to answer questions. Great location for hiking the shore, waterfalls, and rivers at nearby state parks. Grand Marais was just 20 minutes north; Coho Cafe always great (Salmon Chowder!); dining at Blue Fin Bay was easy, but mixed reviews on our meals.

Our getaway was absolutely ideal! With ample space for all seven of us, we found the perfect balance of comfort and fun. The two little ones had plenty of room to play indoors with the chilly weather outside. The kitchen was a dream, equipped with everything we needed to whip up delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. We truly can’t express how perfectly this place catered to all our needs—it made our trip unforgettable!

Beautiful lake home! We really enjoyed our stay here, very close to Lake Superior and Gooseberry falls a short drive away. Everything was clean and cozy, our son loved all the little black bear decorations :)

Absolutely gorgeous location and super clean home! Well stocked with basics and comfortable inside and out. Many chairs to choose from outside. Bug spray and umbrellas available. We loved sitting on the deck by the lake when the weather was nice. Incredibly peaceful! We heard loons, geese and that's about it. No traffic/train sounds - very quiet! Loved it! Beds/pillows/towels were comfy, as was the sofa. Monica left us a package of pancake mix and everything we needed to make it. So thoughtful and delicious! Couple things to mention - bring slippers the floors are cold and there are no rugs. Also, there is no tv, but there are some dvds in a cabinet for when there is inclimate weather. We were able to get online more than half the time. (T-Mobile). The bathtub is a tall soaker, but a bit harder to get into and very slippery on the bottom. There is nowhere to eat/buy groceries nearby. The closest ones we found were in Thunder Bay 45 min up the road. A very nice place!

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

This sweet house exceded expectations and could not have been more inviting and comfortable. It was hard to leave! But I'm already planning a return...highly recommended for anyone looking for a most tranquil escape.

This was our second time at Deidra’s Tofte home, and if possible - it was even more magical than our first time. Not only is she an amazing host - we basically planned our itinerary around all her wonderful recommendations - but this house is just a gem on the north shore. Well stocked, better than photos, and pristine views of the lake each day. We’ll be back again and again 😊

It was more than we could ask for! We loved the interior design and post and beam architecture! The cabin was probably the best equipped AIRBnB We have ever stayed in! The Kitchen was incredible equipped with top end Appliances. The heated floor and very hot shower were both very well received! And a complementary bottle of very good wine!! Wow! 2 Thumb’s up!

A wonderful spot on Lake Superiors North Shore. The cabin is modern, updated and comfortably hosts 4 guests. The location is near several trailheads of the superior hiking trail and is easily accessible from the major highway that winds up the North Shore. If we are ever in need of a weekend cabin getaway in the future, we will certainly be coming back here!

Loved our stay at this place. For once the photos did not do it justice. The place is lovelier than the pictures. We hope to come again.

Adam & Casey have done a great job with this house! Very comfortable and luxurious! This was a last minute trip for us and Adam & Casey communicated everything we needed in a very timely matter, and continued to reach out to make sure everything was alright throughout the stay! Highly recommend staying at this house!
