Country cottage located on a quiet lot surrounded by farmers fields and mature trees. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, have a great sleep in the comfy beds and have all the luxuries of home! The cottage is located a short 15 minute drive from the 401 and the town of Cobourg, and is a 25 minute drive into Peterborough. We are 5 minutes from Rice Lake which is well known for its great fishing, and 20 minutes drive to the famous Cobourg beach. Come and relax at the cottage!

A place to relax in winter in front of the gas stove with a beautiful view of the Otonabee River. In summer enjoy a swim or a paddle on on the river with one of our two kayaks. The kayaks are available between May 1st & October 1st as long as the river conditions are acceptable. Enjoy supper prepared using the fully equipped kitchen overlooking the river. A park like setting but only 5 minutes to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in downtown Peterborough.

Quaint, peaceful and scenic stay for a relaxing weekend. The cabin was very clean and exceeded my expectations. The private beach across the cabins is an added bonus.

A semi-private dock extends over the water, featuring two red and two blue chairs arranged for relaxation. A boat is secured nearby, covered for protection. Lush green foliage surrounds the area, with trees providing shade along the shore.

The cottage itself was charming and well-equipped, providing all the comforts of home with a rustic twist. The peace and tranquility were exactly what we needed to recharge. The host That is responsive and always willing to help with good advice and recommendations Overall, it was an unforgettable getaway, full of laughter, relaxation, and connection with nature. We can’t wait to return!

This was the best airbnb I have ever stayed in! We stayed for our wedding weekend - the natural lighting here was absolutely PERFECT. Super close to Peterborough! Sylvia not only let us take photos on the property, she gave us a free gift and offered for us to check out later the day after our wedding. It was also the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at an airbnb. I cannot recommend more!

Peter’s cottage was exactly what my family and I were looking for! It was so peaceful, the view is absolutely gorgeous, there was so much to do, and the cottage alone makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. Peter was an amazing host, he answered any question I had very quick and was so helpful and extremely nice! Fishing off the dock was amazing, Peter also let us use his paddle boat and kayak which was so much fun to go exploring, having a fire at night and roasting some marshmallows while looking at a gorgeous clear view of the night sky was one of my favourite moments. To get away from the city and into this beautiful secluded cottage was a dream come true and I cannot wait to rent this cottage again and again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Doug’s s place! The home was exactly as described — clean, cozy, and very well maintained. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making it easy and comfortable for us to settle in. The location was great, and communication with kiki was seamless throughout our stay. She was responsive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would love to stay here again in the future.
