Enjoy the quiet and green oasis of this 30-ties suburb with excellent train connection to Amsterdam city centre ( 10 minutes walk to the train station + 20 minutes train to Amsterdam). After site seeing in Amsterdam you can relax in our garden or enjoy a BBQ with your friends or family. Also the surrounding nature reserves and ancient fortress town of Naarden UNESCO world heritage (10 minutes from our home) are worthwhile to visit.

“Hof van Holland” is an ancient house in a beautiful place in the heart of Naarden fortress. The cozy downstairs house with high ceilings and windows has recently been completely restored. Enjoy the fortress (UNESCO World Heritage) with its cozy cafes and restaurants, boutique shops, art galleries, museums and the market on Saturday. Naarden is located in the heart of the bustling Gooi, with charming villages and vast nature reserves, where you can take wonderful walks and bike rides.

Er is een opklap tafel, stoelen, een plankje met koffie en thee en een wasbak, een aparte natte ruimte met wc & douche. Het huisje geeft een gevoel van knusheid💕 en privacy om tot rust te komen en het is een goede uitvalsbasis om Amsterdam, Almere en andere steden te ontdekken.

Oldest Houseboat in the Netherlands - De Zwerver

De Zwerver is the oldest residential and studio ship in the Netherlands. The Zwerver was built in 1900 at the De Vlijt shipyard in Oude Wetering. Artist, architect and explorer Wijnand Otto Jan Nieuwenkamp designed it as a houseboat but also used it as a mobile studio and exhibition space. The ship has been fully restored, equipped with every comfort and is nowadays used as accommodation for overnight stays and meetings.

We feel so privileged to be able to live in our house that used to be a lovely hotel/café in the early 1900s. When we are travelling ourselves, we like other people to enjoy it as well. Also the village, near Amsterdam, with its water, beach & trees.
