In Weesp there are plenty of supermarkets where you can get your groceries until 10pm. The bathroom has a sink, a shower and a toilet. At the rear of the yard, 10 meters from the ditch, there is a railway line. The Vecht River is 10 meters in front of the house, where you can swim in the summer.

The setting and location are unique, within the city walls of the Fortress. Wonderful walks on the city walls, between 3.5 and 5 km. In the village, you will find several nice shops and restaurants with terraces. On Saturday there is a market. Naarden Bussum Train Station is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from De Vesting. Accessible by bus 110, and at the station, you can rent public transportation bicycles. Within 1 kilometer, there is a large Albert Heijn supermarket.
