Family-friendly vacation rentals in Golden

absolutely loved this spot, serene and peaceful and made for an amazing weekend getaway. I thought it was a bit pricey at first for a small cabin but with free wood and free snowshoes to use it felt like it balanced out. kitchen has about everything you'd need for a short stay but could use small things like some spices and oils. There are lots of ways to sustain comfortable temperature, we didn't know there was a heating system until we got there, thinking it was only the wood stove, but you're covered if you don't want to maintain a fire or you can do what we did and turn the heat off and burn wood instead for a truly cozy cabin feel. Very likely we will be back to this spot, probably for a bit longer next time. :)

The place was very well maintained and meticulously thought out. The kitchen was stocked up with essentials. The location and the views are great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location for skiers. Garage with ski racks and drying racks for gear was very helpful. Rooms were very comfortable. Stacey was responsive when issues arose (some unexpected contractors).

We had a wonderful stay at Ruth’s Airbnb! Everything was so well thought out and generous — from the fully stocked coffee station with creamee and delicious liquid honey to the cozy lighting that made the space feel magical. Everything felt like home. The place was spotless, beautifully set up, and even came with thoughtful extras like bear spray, which gave us peace of mind during our adventures. The laundry setup was super convenient, and although it’s a bit of a drive from Banff, the peaceful surroundings more than made up for it. Thank you, Ruth, for creating such a warm and welcoming space. My wife's birthday felt extra special in your cute treehouse!

My family was looking for a home to get away from our daily lives and let the kids be kids. The house was in a great spot to go explore- Golden Skybridge, Glacier rafting, the Woolf Reserve, Alleycat bowling. Everything was as described and nothing was too precious for us to have to worry about our boys. We can tell they are working on a few house projects that will bring the home to the next level. The kitchen had what we needed and the hot tub was a great activity.

Wonderful stay at the Smiley Wolf Cabin! The cabin was extremely clean, the beds were comfy and the towels & linens were great. The kitchen was well equipped. Ben was a friendly and responsive host. Do not hesitate to book your stay at this lovely place.

Absolutely beautiful place! The inside was gorgeous and looked like it had just been remodeled. The place was also spotless and had everything we needed! The surrounding area was very peaceful and we loved hearing the wolves howl from time to time. The host was very responsive to a question we had. I would highly recommend this place!

Tina’s cabin was exactly as described—perfect for a family and felt like home the moment we arrived. The groundskeeper was very friendly, even bringing us firewood and staying for a pleasant chat. The town of Golden is about a 20-minute drive away, making it easy to stock up on groceries or do laundry. *Tip- the local IGA gives 10% off your first purchase if you sign up for their rewards! National parks along Highway 1 were easy to access, with popular hiking trails ranging from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours away. I feel so lucky we chose this cabin—its location was ideal. Falling asleep while staring at the mountain peaks was pure heaven. 100% recommend!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Karen’s Airbnb. The home is cozy, beautifully maintained, and incredibly family-friendly—it had everything we needed and more. The backyard was a real highlight, with a stunning view of the mountains. As a meditator, I found it to be an especially peaceful space—my morning meditations there were incredibly deep and grounding. Karen was such a warm and sweet host. Her kindness, clear communication, and all the thoughtful touches around the home made us feel genuinely welcome. She was also very accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. This was the perfect mountain retreat for our little family, and we’d absolutely love to return someday. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay! The Airbnb was absolutely beautiful—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. It was also very well stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to extra blankets and toiletries. One of the highlights for us was how family-friendly the space was. My daughter loved playing with the toys provided, which made our stay even more enjoyable and relaxing. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay!

It was a great experience. Tina and Steve were great, everything was communicated to us before we reached out there. They checked with us the following day as well, although we had to leave early due to an emergency, I would love to come back and enjoy this place

A great location to explore the national parks and nearby beautiful mountains and lakes, but a quiet and interesting little town to come “home” to at the end of the day. The apartment was just as described online and in pictures. The spring garden was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, and the decor including water color art of landscapes in the town of Field made it really unique.

Pearl was wonderful! She really prioritized our visit and was extremely accommodating! I would highly recommend this location and host!

super place if you love nature. do need a car to go to shops or restaurants. Also nice and spacious and nice beds.
