Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Gentilly, New Orleans

Kurt was a lovely host from the start. He was super accommodating with my questions in advance re: baby gear at the house and timing on our last minute reservation. The house is absolutely gorgeous, too. It's spacious, well decorated, and felt more like a home than an Airbnb. It was nice and quiet, and we always felt safe in the neighborhood. If you're traveling with a baby, this place is perfect! The pack and play and two "high chair" options (one Bumbo-esque tabletop option and another larger tabletop one) were great to have, as was the little xylophone in addition to the small toys we brought with us :) The sink is perfect baby bathing size, as well!

The house was so perfect, functional, comfy, and surprisingly accommodated nine people exceptionally well. We felt so at ease and happy that we could all fit so well. We loved the living room couch, multiple naps were taken there and it fit my two aunts side by side on one end! Just can't say enough how family friendly the house is. I felt closer to my family because it was an open concept; however, there was enough space between living and dining room to carry separate conversations. It was also really close to major attractions like Bourbon street, which was not as important for us this trip since tourism wasn't our main focus, but it was so easy to go for a quick jaunt into Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. The neighborhood seemed so safe, we all felt comfortable going out to our car late at night. And the neighbors were friendly. Also, with such a boisterous family I felt like we were able to still be ourselves. I'd definitely stay here again, we loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Hibou Blanc - Historic Bakery. The Marigny Triangle Neighborhood was perfect. Near venues for the wedding festivities we were attending, walkable to restaurants, the French Quarter, and a grocery store. The house was spacious and clean with plenty of room for 8 people. We appreciated the attention to detail ... bath towels were soft and luxurious. The kitchen table with bench seating and chairs was a favorite place to gathering for meals and a game of cards. We highly recommend staying at the Le Hibou Blanc - Historic Bakery.

My husband and I stayed at Hong's house with another couple and had an incredible weekend! Their home is comfortable and clean, with a vibrant aesthetic. Hong was proactive and friendly throughout our stay, helping us to feel right at home. We would absolutely stay here again!

If you want to experience authentic New Orleans vibes in a 100+ year old shotgun, this is the place. The location is near plenty of bars and restaurants without being in the middle of the quarter. The owner was fantastic, and you can tell he put some love into this house. We got in late and had a minor issue, thinking he might respond the following day. Not only did he respond immediately, he fixed it within 15 minutes. We would absolutely stay here again.

Enjoyed staying at Anthony's place. A short walkable distance to the streetcar. Peaceful surroundings. We only had a chance to eat at one of the neighborhood restaurants, but it was great. Walking distance to the grocery store was a plus.

The house was just what our family needed for our trip to NOLA. The location is perfect. It took us about 15 minutes to get to wherever we wanted to go. There are plenty of restaurants and markets close by and within walking distance. The neighborhood was friendly and felt very safe. The house was just as described and was a nice place to come back to after a long day exploring. The hosts supplied so many things that are often forgotten by travelers. The pool was a welcome respite after a long hot day. The house provides plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. NOLA definitely has its own vibe and this house allowed us to feel like the locals during our stay. Thanks for sharing.

Alleshias place was beautiful and very clean. Close to everything and very walkable. Pool was an added bonus. My children loved it

An Amazingly Charming Stay in the Heart of New Orleans! This home perfectly captures the spirit of New Orleans. The exterior has that classic, historic charm I dream about when I think of the city, and the interior beautifully balances vintage character with modern comforts—those beds were incredibly comfortable! The original hardwood floors and thoughtful furnishings made it feel both cozy and stylish. Just a heads-up: this is a true New Orleans shotgun house, so the rooms flow one into the next with no hallways. It’s also a duplex with shared walls, so sound can carry—something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper. That said, the charm and location more than made up for it. We felt completely safe walking to and from the French Quarter (just a 15-minute walk), even late at night. The hosts were responsive, kind, and made everything easy. I would absolutely stay here again—highly recommend!

Such a beautiful and spacious home. It was super easy to get into and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the outdoor space and using the pool. The neighborhood was very nice and neighbors were friendly. Would 100% return!

Had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, and the pool was a highlight of our trip. It’s not very big, but it was the perfect place to hangout on a hot New Orleans day.

By far one of the best stays. Not only is the host communicative and friendly but Ben’s home is uniquely decorated and comfortable. It fits perfectly with the NOLA culture and was also extremely close to the French quarter and close enough to the airport. The shower was great and I enjoyed spending time in the backyard. My family felt right at home. I definitely recommend booking!

A group of my friends and I stay at Var’s place for Memorial Day Weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. We enjoyed hanging out by the pool and the back deck was very comfortable. We were a quick 10 minute uber ride to the French Quarter which was very practical. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a great Airbnb in Nola!

We had a fantastic time at Lori's beautiful home. There's so much to do in New Orleans (and we were only there for three nights) so we didn't spend a *ton* of time at the house, but if we'd been there longer the home was perfect for staying in & relaxing. Well stocked, clean & beautiful!

Kiley and her family were great. The place was beautiful and you felt right and home. Central location and I was working downtown at the federal courthouse and was a breeze getting there and back. Kiley also helped me find a place for the next week stay because she was booked and I would stay at her place again and would highly recommend her place to anyone that needs a place to stay and again her and her family were AWESOME!!

This historic carriage home felt like something straight out of a dream. From the stained glass windows to the claw foot tub, the home immerses you in the timeless beauty of New Orleans. If there wasn’t so much to do in the city, I would’ve stayed in the home the whole time! Not to mention the walkable bars and restaurants, Algiers point is impossible to top.

Lady's place was amazing. Very clean and beautiful. We felt right at home. Had plenty of room for the 4 of us. You provide your own code to access the residence. She reached out to me, prior to getting to the house, so I even felt the "Southern Hospitality" prior to reaching the residence, even getting into Louisiana. The neighbors were so nice and friendly. We were here for a quick getaway to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday and surprised her with this weekend getaway and Lady's place was in a perfect location to everything. We went to the Jazz festival, took in all the sites, ate all that New Orleans had to offer, and even enjoyed a recommendation offered when I made the reservation (so again "Thank You"). I already know my older sister and none of us will never forget this trip, and have made memories that we'll forever and always cherish.

I’ve read a lot of these reviews and it feels like people are often sleuthing for some tiny flaw to cry about. But me, I was so happy with my stay. Zero complaints. Gorgeous shotgun apt (huge btw- far more space than I needed!), great yard to sit and drink coffee in, tons of amenities (the bikes are a great touch though I didn’t use them- would totally have done so with more time in the city). Walked to the levee with my pup, went to the Joint, hung out at Bud Rips. Perfect Bywater day. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

This is a great little hidden gem! We loved the layout of the house and how it offers privacy for each bedroom. Furnished nicely and very cozy! Christina is a great host! Will likely rent from her again for our next visit! A+!

Absolutely 5 stars! Dwayne was incredibly responsive and made communication easy from start to finish. The accommodations were spotless and well-maintained, and everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was that it truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Wonderful comfortable place. The kitchen was super to cook in. The porch is great and there is a fabulous grocery store and several great restaurants and bars nearby. There is a party place (private club?) next door so may want earplugs if that would bother you. Didn’t bother us at all. You can take streetcars and buses from area. Beautiful City Park close by for exploration

We had a wonderful stay at Loris's place. The house is clean, spacious, quiet and very comfortable. There was just 2 of us, so plenty of room. Very walkable to FQ and Fairgrounds. We would love to stay again. Thanks Loris!
