Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Gaienhofen

Slim pickings in this area so we were happy to find Mai and Thomas's place near Frauenfeld so we could be near to family we were visiting. All worked quite well and they were helpful in accommodating us six and a baby, including providing a crib. There are two bedroom areas with a queen and a twin in each, so three sleep in each room. Kitchen is small but fairly well-stocked. Dining room is ample with a large table. Single bathroom with barrier-free shower so water gets nearly all over the bathroom when you shower. Bath was well-stocked with soap, shampoo, etc. All in all it was a very good stay. Thanks!

We had a great time staying at Eckharts place. The place was clean, spacious, and flooded with light, in a very peaceful neighbourhood with all stores in walkable distance. There’s a neighbour’s car that comes greeting in the garden every day, which is great. We had some funny scaredy cat moments as sometimes the ceiling was creaking mysteriously…. And at night the bed made mysterious sounds… but nothing too scary 😁 The host is very responsive and helpful. Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful time in the Bijouhaus (2 adults, 4 children). The Bijouhaus was clean, fresh, bright and immediately created a feel-good atmosphere for us. Many leisure activities are quickly and easily accessible by car. The best strawberries of all time are available in the farm shop (5 minutes' walking distance) :) Andrea responded quickly and personally to any concerns or questions. Thank you for the wonderful time, we highly recommend the Bijouhaus...

I had a wonderful stay at “Zur Geduld” in the Historic Oldtown. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and charming. Lia was a fantastic host—kind, responsive, and incredibly hospitable. Communication was smooth from check-in to check-out, and all instructions were clear. I appreciated the attention to detail and how easy everything was. The location was also perfect for exploring the area. I would definitely recommend this Ferienhaus and would happily stay here again. Thank you for a great experience!

We rented the place for a company event (we needed 5 bedroom). The place is easily accessible, we all had a double bed. We had mentioned we wanted to use the BBQ if the weather would allow it. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the host and they had already started the fire pit for us to grill that evening. The living room and dining area was spacious and could accommodate all us of (5 adults) without problem.

We had a wonderful week with two small children at Lake Constance. At the house, we especially liked the garden and the covered terrace. For the kids, there were also a lot of games in the house. Swimming area at the lake is within walking distance. There are also countless great excursion destinations for children around Lake Constance (Mainau Island, Rhine Falls, Affenberg Salem, Schwaketenbad Konstanz, etc.). An all-around great week...

Quiet area within walking distance to restaurants and shops

The accommodation is great if you are cycling along the Rhine or Lake Constance. It was very neat and clean and it had everything you need to cook. When the salt ran out, Nancy helped out in a flash : ) There was a separate seat with its own table and chairs outside, we had it to ourselves. However, it would be very tight in the apartment for four, so I would rather go as two. The village is small and quiet, the lake section very beautiful. It has something three restaurants on the lake. We were particularly impressed by the campsite's bistro. There is no train, so I would definitely recommend coming by bike.

We had a very nice stay at Sandra's, the apartment was very clean and we especially liked the terrace with a view of the beautiful garden. We reached everything important, such as restaurants in the village, bakeries and shopping, by bike.

My parents spent a week in Ina's apartment for the second time and were again completely satisfied. From booking to check-out, everything was right. For their next visit, my parents will book the accommodation again. And we always recommend Ina's apartment to other visitors who want to stay near us.

We felt very comfortable in Stefan's apartment and enjoyed the diverse activities from there (there are also many maps and tips in the apartment). The view from the living room/balcony is fantastic. The kitchen is super equipped. We will be happy to come back.

It's not a famous tourist destination, but it's the best location with good access to tourist destinations and is very clean. Also, the amenities were great, and above all, the spacious accommodation was great for a lot of people to rest comfortably. I want to use it again next time.

We had the pleasure of spending the last few days in this great Airbnb apartment and it was just perfect! The apartment is not only clean and stylish, but also offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal – quiet yet central, so you can quickly reach all the important sights. Linda was very helpful at all times and immediately made sure that the Internet connection was stable. Since I combined work & vacation on the first day, this was indispensable for me. Large apartment that is well furnished with a kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The neighbourhood is also very quiet - all we could hear were birds chirping. We also appreciated the clear instructions given by Raphael and Dianna. Overall, this is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Appenzell region!

We immediately felt very comfortable! The apartment is very spacious, superbly equipped, nicely decorated and very clean. It remains a wonderful memory and above all the beautiful garden with great flowers and herbs. From the house, you can walk to the Moos beach, take beautiful hikes or bike tours on the lake. We booked to spend a weekend with friends. Thomas' accommodation is perfect, charming and well-equipped. It takes a little over ten minutes to walk to the center, but the place is quiet and the view of the lake is breathtaking.

Fantastic place to stay, highly recommended. Stayed for 4 weeks and used it as a base for travel. Ideal indeed. Very close to very reasonable shops for everything. Top place 👍
