Beachfront vacation rentals in Funchal

Iri is such a gem! She was so hospitable and responsive and gave excellent local recommendations for food, hiking, and other things. Great location and easy walking distance to many necessities. If you are looking for a place that is walking distance to the center of Funchal, this is a not it. Otherwise, the privacy, ocean views, and peaceful stay are well worth it!

Clean, spacious, amazing balcony and view of the ocean. Had a great 2 weeks here. Cafes, restaurants, grocery store, beach all within walking distance. The apartment is in a quiet, private building, can still hear a bit of noise from the road in the back 2 bedrooms but not a big complaint considering how calm and peaceful the place is in general. Thank you!

Wonderful host, kind and friendly, great recommendations, great place!

First off, location could not be better. So walkable to everything. Every brunch spot, nice dinner, waterfront stroll, supermarket, etc. secondly, Alonso was who we checked in with and he was fantastic! Provided many recommendations and even invited us to a futbol game! We hiked PR1, 8, and 10 while here and was centrally located for this. Overall, 5 star location and would stay again.

We had a fantastic time and felt right at home in Jardim Do Mar that’s to Germano !

Unbelievable view and house, we had such a great stay here enjoying the pool and all the location had to offer. Madeira was such a beautiful island to explore and was great to come back and relax at Rui’s house after exploring. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a private place with a great view of the ocean.

Beautiful and well-equipped accommodation, with a great ocean view. Very welcoming and available hosts. One detail is that the house is close to a tourist place so there is traffic during the day which can slow down the traffic on the access road to the accommodation slightly, but this does not disturb the quiet of the house which remains isolated and pleasant to live in. We recommend this place!

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Thank you for everything! We were able to fully enjoy this beautiful island. And Gabriel spent almost all his evenings in the pool 😄 thank you again from all 3 of us

We absolutely loved our stay here! Absolutely beautiful location and it was quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to come relax mid-day between adventures, and we loved using the jacuzzi at the end of the day after hiking and exploring Madeira! Gomes also gave great recommendations and we really enjoyed some of his restaurant recommendations and a local poncha bar. If we ever come back we would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this property for the 2nd time and it was fantastically beautiful as always. It is very quiet, you have a beautiful landscape and the host is extremely friendly and helpful. Glad to come back! 😊

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)

Joana’s place was more than we imagined! It was actually 2 individual apartments in one house, each with room for 2 families, though we were just 2 couples. The privacy and the beach view were worth the stairs climb!! The stairs are a workout!!! Joana was an amazing host. Would recommend highly!

We absolutely loved being right on the ocean! It was within feet of the house!- with the waves crashing and the patio where we ate all our meals, provided an excellent ambiance for our trip. We stayed 6 nights and were so glad we didn’t move around to other places. The promenade next to the house is very scenic and offered a one mile round trip walk along the ocean . Watching the surfers was also a plus.

Raquel’s place was absolutely impeccable. After five nights of hopping between different beds, my friend and I felt so lucky to land here for three restful nights — exactly what we needed. The space had everything we could have asked for and more. The check-in process was super easy, and Raquel had everything clearly laid out with thoughtful instructions. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us — it truly felt like a breath of fresh air.

Amazing location in picturesque village

Family home, nice in a very nice quiet village without a car. We fell in love with Jardim do Mar, its small alleys with its typical gardens! Thank you Sofia, we felt at home 😊🙏

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BHF Residence. Odette was a wonderful host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and responding immediately to a mix up with our keys. The residence is located in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood with a view of the ocean, and easy access to restaurants and stores as well as some of the better hiking trails. The layout of the house is perfect for two couples, had all the amenities one would want and everything was super clean. Would highly recommend staying here.
